Verizon's Double Data LTE Promotion had my attention, 4GB would be all I ever need.
I visited a couple of stores and Verizon's 3G data never went over 500Kbps. I know they have more coverage, I know LTE will rock but 3G data was no better than Sprints.
I'm sure they have capacity issues also.
Didn't Microsoft say that nobody would need more than 256k of ram?
I have 3G but my speeds are 34kbps. Not fast enough to pay my sprint bill. It is a tablet so it is data only. If they want to go super slow for a few months fine. Quit charging me for a few months.
nope count on paying full price on your entire bill with no credits and then an ETF when you try to leave because you used data. This is what they're currently doing to me. It's corporate greed at its finest, they want us to pay their $6 shortfall with Apple for the iPhone.
I am definitely getting faster speeds, more than double, actually. I had been getting around 800 Kbps until this morning when I got 2.1 Mbps with Sprint 3G on my iPhone 4s. I am quite happy. I switched to Sprint from AT&T when they got the iPhone since the closest AT&T 3G to here is 35 miles away, there is no Verizon service in this quarter of the state, and Sprint blankets the entire area with 3G. Will Sprint be transitioning iDEN sites to CDMA after everyone is off iDEN (ie. 2013) or will it start before then? I thought that switching iDEN sites to CDMA was part of Network Vision

No 800 Mhz Nextel spectrum has been deployed yet for CDMA. That will start next year from what I have heard. Many iDEN sites already have CDMA and the ones that don't will eventually either get shut down or be converted to CDMA. Sprint has plans to decommission 10 or 20 thousand of them.
The first phase of Network Vision will be 3G data upgrades which is happening right now.
Just checked the network upgrade tool and it appears like it has been updated. In my area I am seeing some towers that were previously listed as 'next 6 months' changed to 'last 6 months'.
