Finally got round to trying it on my GSII, I can choose the iida home but it crashes almost immediately. I'm still running a pretty old version of the stock Samsung ROM atm so will have to update and get back to you.

this launcher is better on AOSP roms like cyanogenmod or based on cyanogenmod , i think everythin related with sense and touchwiz is incompatible at the moment. if anybody want this working in their device please tell me the rom and the current version of android been used so i can have an idea what to do on emulator.

Probably going to try out some variant of cyanogenmod and see if that works then. Thanks for the suggestion.

Well, got a Galaxy Note the other day and finally got round to installing a custom ROM on it and to my surprise iida home runs and actually works on a TouchWiz based ROM! Runs rather smoothly too.

    iida homescreen

iida Home Menu (Scroll Adsorption... lol. What is it supposed to do?)

    The widget homescreen

Transition between iida home and the widget homescreen

App area. No idea why but tapping the phone icon doesn't do anything. Everything else works though, oddly enough.

Quick jump shortcuts. Press & hold the arrow on the bottom of the homescreen and this pops up.

Webpage which launches when tapping the 'au one for iida' icon.

    Alarm settings

    Clock

    Memos

    Memos

It doesn't scale perfectly to the 1280x800 resolution, as you can see in the app buttons (the icons are slightly cut off) and the various iida specific applications (the icons on the bottom and occasionally the text are squished to fit 480 horizontal pixels). Not exactly surprised though, as there are the same number of horizontal pixels here as the number of vertical pixels on the iida haha.

I'm running Sheep ROM 1.2 (based on Android 2.3.6) with the AbyssNote v2.0 kernel. Nothing was removed from stock according to the dev, it's just deodexed/zipaligned/rooted, so perhaps TouchWiz based ROMs are OK unlike Sense ROMs. I think Sense pokes into the system more than TouchWiz does, which is mainly just a launcher.

Maybe this'll work on my SGSII as well if I update the ROM? I should try that.

Anyhow, maybe you (NeuroticallyYou) can get the scaling issue fixed? Haha. I'm just happy that it runs LOL

    Hey Yamanote
i think i doesn't scaled because this version have the resolution of my mytouch 4g that is 480*800 , you are using a qHD phone so i think i should correct those things.
Will look into it tonight is not that difficult to changed the settings. im surprised it runs on a touchwiz based rom it didn't run on a stock Galaxy S Vibrant , oh well im surprised . Glad you like the project i also probably will be able to make it run on 2.1.

Not qHD actually, it's a WXGA resolution display (1280x800). Thanks for the help.

jw, what kind of frameworks does this launcher use that's not present in 2.1?

there are no framework depencies at all as i don't have to modify any res-framework.apk from the system that's more usable for sense since sense is tightly integrated in the OS, the APK iida HOME have a requirement of using the SDK version 10 (2.3.3 and up) everything below 10 like froyo or eclair needs to be specified on the APK itself so it can run so there are no framework dependcies, if anything i should know if another apk needs to be added to the package so it can prevent crashes once i test it on my phone or emulator.

I see... cool. I guess it should run fine on 2.1 then with just a few modifications?

    Hey guys

im here reviving this thread , so i scaled the launcher to a 960 resolution, im NOT SURE wether it works or not, i know some of you want to use it but i been very very very very very very very very very busy lately that i barely have time to pick up my phone , sit down in front of the laptop and start playing around, one of the difficulties to scale this is that you need to specify the resolution in something similiar to HEX, that is why it took me this long.

On other news pretty much everybody over XDA gave up on this, im still the only one who is sitll looking at code countless of time to see what can be changed and how, so expect support for this but very limited at the moment.

for those with qHD screen i have the original apps from the infobar without resizing, so if you have a rooted phone with qHD resolution you should be able to push it ot \system\app\ . i will try to update this thread again later at night.

As for this running on 2.1 , it might work, im not giving any guarantees but it MIGHT work, a lot testing is still needed.

    thank you.

    Ics

Hey, any chance if you know if it's possible to make this work on an ICS Rom?

I have a galaxy nexus and would love to give this a try.

    Thank you.

well i lost the original development files as my laptop crashed, so in the meantime im off to use a my job's pc, i can't continue any development as i don't have any way to store files, the original infobar have a qHD resolution im not sure if the galaxy nexus is the same and if were you i won't test it on ICS unless someone else confirms it works. you are out of luck my friend HOPEFULLY i should be able to get a new HD for the laptop this weekend, if so ill get back to you.

Resolution wise, I don't really mind if it's not as "HD". I would really like to just try it out. Hopefully you've got your HDD and revived your laptop
