Very confused about 3G on Speakout...

A family member just got a Rogers LG Optimus 3D that they're going to use with their speakout sim card. However, I really confused as to what will or won't work.

I see posts saying they're getting good 3G speeds (and even one thread here about 4G), but I also remember when I used to be on speakout that my 3G E71 wouldn't make calls sometimes when it could only find a 3G connection.

So my question is will the LG Optimus 3D be able to use 3G on Speakout? What happens if you're in an area where they're 3G service but no 2G? Does he need a new SIM since the one he has is two years old?

    Thanks!

Why don't you just suggest that your friend pay the extra $10 for unlimited browsing and try it for a month.
We've actually been getting full Data lately, not just Browsing. But this is unofficial and we don't know how long it will last.

For the latest status and configuration settings see the Unofficial SpeakOut site.
