    I just bought a grandfathered plan and yes it was very easy to change all the information over. And very easy to just do "Swap phones" as someone advised me. I may be reselling it before long though as the 3G speeds around here don't seem great and I can't get my phone to tether to my laptop which is the main reason I wanted the service to begin with.

    But yes I think people are overpaying for these $25 plans, but you can't blame the sellers for asking what the market is giving them.

    Looking on ebay, grandfathered plans alone are going for $140. You might see $300 if you included a Triumph. Someone just sold a used Optimus including the $25 plan for measely $150. Since used Optimus are going for around $70, got $80 for the plan. But I do have to say he didnt even mention the plan in his title which was retarded.

    But then item # 160694810150 for $91 with a $25 plan. Just the intercept alone is a $100 device so...

    Then item # 320809266669 for $70 with $25 plan. Just the phone alone is also $100.

    Same with 120822207940.

    $110 for Optimus + $25 plan: 160693487358.

    And if you go further back,

    270839947833 = $70 OBO, same seller sold many from 25-75

    260886243613 = $48

    290611598593 = $35

    330595843209 = $30

    160637236646 = $17

    260837338498 = $16

    & many more.... (100+ from $10 and up)

    I can't agree more! $110 for Optimus + $25 plan is an awesome deal that pays for itself in the long ran.

    Kinda surprised they went so low even if the phones are used.

    But selling on eBay is an art and requires some planning & thought such as when to list, which photos to use, which eye catching titles to use, etc. Cause these did pretty well:

    260911127736 $140
    220906928709 $153.50
    230710667392 $280 with used Triumph
    250943668709 $205 with used Optimus

    I just started a new job and I'm getting a corp phone (Motorola Atrix 4G) on AT&T. I hate AT&T, but it'll all be free and if I leave the job at any point, I get to keep the phone. So I can't complain. I could've gotten an iPhone, but I'm slowly becoming anti-Apple as I hear more about their lame policies and politics.
    Bad idea, never use a corp or job phone for anything but job related stuff even if they say u can use it for personal stuff. As since they pay the bill, they can spy on you all they want.

    Seller rating, photos, titles, and descriptions do play some part but more so is the timing of a listing and finding two buyers who will fight to get it... drives the price up.... Up higher than even some of the buy-it-now listings which I always find funny.

    I was trying to buy this 10-ft HDMI cable. The seller lists about 10 a day at 99 cents and also has a buy-now listing for the same thing @ $5.00. I figured I would try to bid on some and try getting it for less than $5, so I put $4.95 as my max bid on each one. I lost on every single one! Some went WAY over $5... as high as $14!!

    Can the person taking over the account change the number (different state) and not lose the $25 plan ?

    I am sure with the throtting thing coming up and the introduction of the T-Mobile plan and BYOD ST SIM there are more on the market now and less people looking for them, but as more people come off contract they are looking for lower priced alternatives... who knows what the future holds...

    I believe Tmobile grandfathered plans may be worthless.
    I thought I had the best plan possible (for 13 years) for 19.95: 100 min of voice and unlimited data. But TM took my data portion away last week and advised me they have that right to change grandfathered plans.
    Now I left with my voice and a few text messages a month for that price.
