Update: cancelled my port in... Had to call a few times to chatr because a few people did not know what to do and transferred me to technical support who had no power to help me. Eventually got someone competent.
Overall.... Very angry. Never using Rogers or anyone affiliated with Rogers again. I'd rather roam on Wind for now or pay someone else more.
Lost 39.55$ I can't get back... Since I've used the services, not like I haven't.
Going to go talk to bell and see what they can give me. I'm going to probably migrate there and combine mobile with Internet, and get their offered 5$ off for the bundle deal.
Very very very dissatisfied + combine with not helpful customer service. Ugh. (wind is not better... I called them and the employee gave me attitude from the beginning.) Wind has no competent sales representatives employees in ottawa (speaking based on 3 different locations in my area).
Literally have to find all of the answers my self... I understand you are getting minimum wage but don't have to give me attitude. Ugh.
Sooooo frustrated. Goodbye Chatr and most likely Wind too.
Wind September 2010 - December 2011 (Loved the data and the service when it worked... a lot of times it did not.) + customer service was bad to me + dropped calls when talking to 611 Chatr December 2011 - January 2012 (Problems from day 1) ... Guess there is no perfect provider. Virgin January 2012 - January 2015 - let's hope the customer service from Virgin doesn't drop calls while I call them like Wind did.
Ok finally got an update. So I know I'm too late the_rus but the number was ported from Wind to Chatr in 24 hours. During that time she was given a temporary phone number.
I asked her what she thought of her signal since her semester just started again on the 3rd, she says it's great. She has the Sony Text Pro, its a half decent phone she says, I played with it and I must admit it has the loudest speaker ever, I played a ringtone at maximum and it was amazingly loud.
As I said in my op I hate Rogers but for her Chatr is a great choice.
