Question how does the $80 auto-pay bonus credit work?

For current chatr $80 bonus credit promo, I was thinking with the $10 bonus creedit per month, for the $25 unlimited talk plan, I only need to pay $15 per month for the first 8 months. But when I went to a Chatr booth today, a sales told me I can't apply the bonus credit to my account in the first 8 months, so basiclly I have to pay $25x8 for the first 8 months and then get 3 months free service after that.

is it true or the guy was misleading?

I think whatever they're saying is correct... Everymonth they will try to charge you $25 for $25/month plan then give you $10 bonus to your account balance.

If you don't use this money for other extra text message, roaming, long distance then after 8 months you will have $80 in your account balance. You can now stop the autopay and use the $80 bonus money to pay for next 3 months if you wish.

Offers available for a limited time and subject to change without notice.

    * Customers who enroll in auto-pay will automatically be eligible for this promotion. Eligibility is allowed once during the customer's account lifetime. A $10 bonus will be applied to customer's balance once per month upon each successful credit card transaction, for the first eight months of program enrollment. Application of the bonus to your account will be processed within 48 hours after a successful payment. If un-enrollment occurs during the first eight months, no further bonuses will be applied. If the credit card provided cannot be charged during any of the first eight months, no further bonus will be applied for the remainder of the program.

The bonus credits cannot be used to pay for any of the first 8 months of monthly fees unless autopay is first cancelled. The full $25 gets charged to your credit with auto-pay, regardless of your account balance. To use the bonus credits to pay your monthly fees, the credits must not have been used to pay for pay-per-use charges and auto-pay must be first disabled.

That's what I did, although in my case it was only the $60 credit.

When you pay with a credit card and enable auto-pay, you have to tell a Chat-R employee by calling them (*611) I have the LG Phoenix from them, the $10 bonus serves well for extra data considering it's on Rogers Wireless network.
