Ok I read the FAQ for this but didn't see the answer in there...

I am going to buy a $25 grandfathered plan from someone online and trying to figure what I need to do to get my new phone on it. Can they just give me the # of the acct and the PIN and take it from there?

Or do they need to deactivate their old phone or change their acct info or change something else? Also do I tell VM that I got the acct from someone else or just pretend it's been mine all along? Can I change the name on it? I plan to just add time with Topup cards so don't really need a credit card on there although it would be convenient.
