From what I remember (and I'm not at work right now so this is purely from memory) there was an article that said something about if the loophole had been used and then MHS taken off, then the unlimited was supposed to come off. Now - I vaguely remember that being in reference to if someone called in to CS to remove it.
I'm back at work on Thursday - I'll see if I can track down that article then.
I also saw an email about system enhancements coming up. I haven't gotten any details on those until tomorrow.
As far as already have gotten unlimited I would think you're fine from what the employee above stated.
As far as unlimited hotspot, that should also still be available for anyone with unlimited data to add if they'd like it. It shouldn't matter how you got unlimited data. If you have it you will qualify for the unlimited hotspot still.

Can't find the article I remember reading.
So I don't have anything factual to add - sorry :-/
We were told today that the system update they said they would talk about wasn't for the system we use so we weren't discussing it. Still goes along with what the other person said though. It sounds like a direct billing system update that doesn't affect our indirect system. We haven't been able to do the loophole anyway.

Just thought I'd add my two cents. I just switched to Verizon today and got the Galaxy Nexus and 4GB promo plan. I then got home and tried this. The rep tried to add it but said she couldn't because I didn't have the $29.99 data plan. I gave her the feature code but that didn't work. I then hung up and called back, told the rep that I was given a feature code from the rep at the store since she could't add it there. She put in the code and PRESTO. She even said, "this is great because now you'll have unlimited 4G data too."
I had heard a few weeks ago that Verizon closed this loophole, but apparently NOT!!!

I would think that IF they wanted to close this, then they would send out a BULLETIN for all reps, but since they have not, maybe they are taking a "wait and see" approach as to how this may turn into a profit. Most people (I'm guessing here) probably are not abusing the data amounts anyway. JMHO
