You remove it when you want. But we know it works today. They update is suppose to happen at anytime. Could be today as some of the reps stated the systems update on Sundays.

So if I'm reading your posts right, this update is going to close the loophole. Prevent anyone else from taking advantage of it. What about those who already got it? That's what I want to know about? I still can't see them changing accounts without the customer's consent. Of course anything is possible.

I Signed Up Just Short Of Three Weeks Ago. I Added The Hotspot To My Line About 4 Days Later, Then To My Other Line (Both iPhone 4S's) About Three Days Ago. I Removed The Hotspot From The Second Line (The One I Did A Few Days Ago) The Very Next Day, And So Far Both Lines Still Have Unlimited Data, One Has It With MHS, And The Other Without. My Bill Generated And They Charged Me For The Pro-Rated # Of Days I Had Unlimited And MHS, Plus The Next Full Month In Advance (Which Is Right), So I'm Figuring It If Made It To Being Billed Out, It Should Be Okay, But Who Knows.

Guess We'll See. I'm Guessing Whatever Update VZ Is/May Be Doing, Simply Won't Let Reps Add This To People's Account Moving Forward, And I'd Like To Believe That They'll Let Anyone Who Did Utilize It, Keep It, But Who Knows.

Did u get unlimited data with the iPhone 4s or did u have to use a 4g phone first to get the loophole working?

I guess it really doesn't matter now, because Mac said the loophole is closed. Guess nothing lasts forever.

Used The iPhone 4S. Called, Said I'd Like To Add The 2GB Hotspot For $20.00. First Time I Tried, I Mentioned The Code That's Been Posted, But Since It's For 4G Devices, It, Of Course, Did Not Work. Simply Saying I Wanted The $20.00 2GB Hotspot Feature Did It, Without A Single Issue.

Well its Monday and I know their system update went through like Mac said. Anyway, I removed my MHS feature last night and my unlimited data still remains. I will report back if anything happens.

You really need to do yourself a favor go back and read over the last several pages! I did not say it was closed. I said the VZW employee posted on here, they update their systems on Sundays. Meaning if it did update, it should be closed by now. All I said it was okay to remove it after you added the MHS. We know that it works after you remove the MHS which leaves you with unlimited data. What we don't know is what effect there will be after the system updates. We don't know if the update will kick you up to tiered data plan or have no effect if you added the code prior to when the system update.

I get what you're saying. On the other hand, I can't see VZW changing all of these accounts back to tiered data plans. That would p-off many customers. Technically if a rep did it, why should the customer suffer? Their system allowed it. Assuming the system updated as of early this morning, my unlimited data plan remained.

I Don't Think The Update (If One Did Happen), Will Remove Anything From Anyone. I Think All The Update Will Do Is Prevent CS From Adding It To Anyone's Account Moving Forward -- As To How They'll Handle Those Who Got It Already, I Would HOPE They'd Leave It, But I Also Wouldn't Be Entirely Shocked, If They Didn't.

I'm sure that Ak1sdr will be here soon to speak for himself, but if I'm reading his words correctly, it sounds like it is a STOP for future changes from the local reps. It will either show the feature as available or not and he did not mention anything about reverting back to tiered settings.

However, I will say again, I was told by my rep that if I removed it, I'd have to call in and when I did, they would revert me back to where I was prior to the unlimited setup. For me, it's "so far so good". I doubt Verizon will be taking away anything from anyone, but if they did, there WILL be a backlash from the customers.

Bold emphasis mine - that's pretty much exactly what's happening.

I don't know how it's going to be handled for people who loopholed into unlimited. Anything I'd say at this point would be pure speculation.

So start speculating from your previous experience then on these types of matters.

Whatever they decide I hope they decide soon. Maybe send a letter to all of those people who got it explaining as a consequence of their system they can keep it?

Just tried 3 times and got denied. They keep insisting the only option is the 4gb data with hotspot for $50.00. I guess this loophole is dead.
