Will we be able to add the hotspot to our unlimited data after this? If not, should we just add it and keep it on the plan and pay the extra $30 a month to keep it on?
Are you sure about this? I haven't tried it but I was curious as to if you tried it. I was told that you can do this only if you were grandfathered in, but if not, once you remove it that you would be reverted back to what you had prior to the unlimited data. I was told this by the rep who updated me to the MHS as well as a new friend who works with Verizon.
I'm thinking that Verizon would have to spend quite a bit of money to close this "loophole". First, they would have to have their attorneys look into the validity of it. Since it (MHS) was advertised to be used with unlimited data, for those who got it under those pretenses it is all legal. Any class action or individual lawsuit attorneys would have a field day with this and most likely win. This is because folks did exactly what they were supposed to do and they got what they were supposed to get. If there was a "loophole" that someone found, and it worked, the best that they can do it just close it. Anything else would require lots of money in attorney fees, advertisement changes, manager courses, research fees, etc. It would not be economical for anyone to go after those who already have it. JMHO
Please answer the question I had above.
Seeing how unlimited hotspot is for unlimited data users, I'm not sure why you need that question answered. Also, its a bit off topic...
I have been reading the thread, what I got from your question is, "can we add the unlimited hotspot after we take it off and keep unlimited data". If that was not correct then I misread, however, if it is correct then obviously you can add the unlimited data hotspot back as it is for unlimited data users which you get with the loophole unless VZW cancels all the ppl who got in on it...
Obviously again you were not reading the thread. Not responding to you anymore. The question is for only the Verizon employee.
From what I remember (and I'm not at work right now so this is purely from memory) there was an article that said something about if the loophole had been used and then MHS taken off, then the unlimited was supposed to come off. Now - I vaguely remember that being in reference to if someone called in to CS to remove it.
I'm back at work on Thursday - I'll see if I can track down that article then.
