    can anyone help confirm?

anyone using a bb bold 9900 on fido?

been reading that people with an unlocked rogers 9900 will always roam on rogers.

also read that people with an unlocked telus/bell 9900 will not roam.

reason i ask is from what i have researched, if the bb is roaming, it will only have 3G. if your not roaming, you can get H+.

i'm trying to figure out how some people with an unlocked 9900 is getting H+ on fido.

i'm using an unlocked telus 9900 on fido but am roaming and only getting 3G.

if i manually switch the mobile network to fido, the phone goes into sos.

i have tried multiple os. only thing i havent tried is a new sim. current sim is like 10 years old.

Used to have my 9000 on Fido once in a while, I was playing with it and such, Unlocked BB's always roam, they will stick to show u the roaming icon but u still be using Fido/Rogers so don't worry, on the other hand what's the hurry on getting H+, ur using a BB not an Android or a iOs or a W7 phone, u only get compressed data, u get no real inet, ur phone will probably be ok using Edge or normal 3G if u may.

Thanks fritz but i hve gone through that thread and info is outdated or not useful.

I know about the rogers/fido tower issue with 302-320/720...still doesn't explain why people on other forums like crackberry and blackberry forums have thier 9700/9900 running on fido with H+ and not roaming.
