LG Extravert(LG Cosmos Touch)

I am 18 and starting college in like 30 days and I was wondering if anyone could recommend the LG Cosmos Touch. I don't need or want a smartphone, I just want something kinda like it(but not really). As I am a student this phone is going to have to last for at least a year and a half is it worth it.

I live in the country around alot of trees so I can only get verizon I can get AT&T but just barely. If I want a cell phone Verizon is really my only option. I currently have a LG Accolade(Flip Phone) it was my first phone that I have had since my birthday in March is it easy texting on a QWERTY keyboard.

Does anyone have/had a LG Cosmos Touch? Would you reccomend it? I want to upgrade to one but since I am prepaid I am getting the prepaid Version which is the LG Extravert. It's basicilly the Cosmos Touch but it has a Video Camera and a 2.0 megapixel camera.

And if I get it I am doing Verizon's Prepaid $50 Talk/Text/Data monthly plan

I hope that the Extravert and the Cosmos Touch are NOT based on the same software/OS because at http://community.vzw.com there are tons of complaints about the Cosmos Touch; a software update was recently released a few weeks ago that hopefully will resolve the issues.
