How about, Boston? If they open up 1900mhz for HSPA+ that means I can use my unlocked Galaxy Note on it right? That would be the best scenario I could think of, seriously.
I am a little confused. My Verizon phone was able to roam on GSM because they used TDMA. Tell it was shutdown. The phone recognizes it as Analog. If PCS has TDMA, It could be technically be used on GSM.

You can either wait for T-Mobile to refarm their PCS spectrum for UMTS (which may or may not happen in your market) or you can move to a provider that iPhone is compatible with.

Moving isn't an option, so I will stay with Tmobile.

Why not?
Any idea when tmobile will have 3g nationwide?
They already have nationwide 3G, just not in a band that iPhone is compatible with. Since T-Mobile doesn't carry the iPhone it's probably not something they're rushing to do.

ah thats what i meant. Whens 3g on iphone coming. sad that theyre not rushing. more people would come over to tmo if they did.

I have an iPhone 3GS (4.3.3, 5.11.07), but every time I turn on 3G, my tmobile signal goes from full bars to No Service. Can anyone tell me why I can't turn on 3G for my iPhone and how some people are able to turn it on and get limited 3G tmobile service?

Well, considering that this entire discussion is all about where these folks get 3g, putting your location in your profile would help
Could you please elaborate? No 3G in Chicago at the time of posting, or documented (or rumored) decision by T-Mobile not to roll out HSPA+1900 in Chicago? Thank you!
