Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the European Note does not have LTE since LTE isn't used widely in Europe yet.

Picked up a Galaxy Note GT-N7000 beginning of November (from a SGSII) and one of my reasons (besides the larger, better screen real-estate) was the upgrade to LTE (as stated on their global website). I've been trying to get it to connect to my local (Rogers) LTE network and have no luck. Done the following so far...
- upgraded my SIM card to their LTE-specific one.
- upgraded my data plan to their LTE-specific one.
- changed my phone APN settings to their recommended LTE-specific ones.
... and still no luck! (consistently d/l around 5-6Mbps instead of LTE-like 25+Mbps)
After reading last week that Samsung S.Korea just released a CDMA-LTE version of the phone, I beginning to wonder if the "original" (released 6 weeks ago) never came with LTE, despite what their website said from day1? Any ideas? Is there possibly a firmware upgrade available to "activate" the LTE radio? Am I doing something wrong setting up the phone? Help please!.. Samsung U.S.A. tech support has no idea.

I was under then impression that only the Korean version had lte, but that one isn't compatible with our lte network.

Even if it has LTE, it won't work on Rogers LTE frequency - 1700 MHz. No update is going to fix it. It's hardware, not software.

When will it be available in Canada? I think it would be within this Q and the US is getting it this month. Talked to several wireless shops today and they didn't even know Galaxy Note.
I am fine without LTE. HSPA+ speed good enough for my use. I read news somewhere saying it's in Q1.
ATT is not that lucky maybe by summer time
