    Razr, Nexus, iPhone

That seems to be everything we are selling, average profit on a transaction is down 50%. Really not becoming worth it, on top of that the investment and carrying costs have doubled!

The iphones are profitable for us. Most accounts have been converted already.

We're selling almost all iPhones and profit is great. Just about the best on any device. Have sold some Razrs this week too but profit is almost half less.

Not so sure about "great" profit on the iPhones, but better than some of the new 4G Droids. Remember the tiered commission system was supposed to encourage sales of the top 4G devices? Instead it seems the finance department could not resist socking it to us when it comes to the latest and greatest. Net result, we are often better off in 3G, sometimes low end 3G devices.

I'm anywhere from $35-50 profit on some 3G devices like droid x2 or incredible to around $75 on most 4g and around $140 on iPhones.

Were selling the DROID phones but the demand is small compared to the demand and profit of the iphone. I think the commission is okay but it isnt the main reason why were not making much profit on these droids, its the manufacturers fault for charging too much for it. If Motorola, HTC and Samsung want to sell their phones at a similar rate of the iPhone, they gotta lower prices on these phones. They cost between 590 to 620 which i think is ridiculous.
Most customers who we try to sell the RAZR or Nexus, say "why should i pay $299 for these phones when i can get the iphone (in their minds the best phone on the market) for $199."

Their logic doesnt make sense bc the Droids are more superior devices, but this is how the customers think and we all know how stubborn these iphone people are.

I don't know. I'd much rather sell an iPhone for quality reasons as well. It's hard for me to say a droid it better today. I've never had a single customer not like an iPhone, have an issue with an iPhone or even want to return an iPhone. They just work and work well without issues. Droids are software nightmares and warranty replacements like crazy.

Agreed on the quality issues. I was one of the Apple haters because I could not get them and it was killing me but now that I am selling them they are 100% improvement over Android in terms of reliability. I have had many customers say their Androids or BBs had better reception but everyone loves their Iphone so much they don't care if it drops a few more calls.

I need them to make a larger screen and then I will switch myself.

Also worth noting that apple has great customer service, have you ever tried contacting htc, samsung, or motorola? It is a joke to say the least.

That might have something to do with people preferring to go to an Apple Genius for support instead of VZ reps. Also, you say that Droids are a nightmare to support, but how are you doing it? In my experience, just asking customers a few basic questions like when the issue first occurred and what are they using usually pin-points to the problem. If a little more research is needed, I'll use our internal sources for known issues. After that I recommend to uninstall/clear cache of said app and/or reboot phone into safe mode w/documentation.

I've heard some reps recommend ridiculous solutions for basic trouble-shooting problems, like a factory wipe on a phone when it's obvious an application might be the issue.
