[begin stonecold] Well you are just a fool if you don't use straight talk I mean come on guys. Why on earth would you pay an extra $10 for an inferior service, all these other MVNOs are rip-offs. [end stonecold]

I was complaining that every month you lose one day when you refill with Red Pocket on the last day of your cycle...that's all. CS isn't important when everything is working great and you have no issues.
With that said, what issue can you have with Simple Mobile other than throttled speeds and data being suspended. Two things that should be expected from Simple Mobile. But if Simple Mobile stripped me down of 1 day every month then it would be insane, and you bet I would complain and give them hell for it, you're the troll for shutting your mouth when you're being robbed!
I'm going to T-Mobile at the end of the month anyway, but not for nothing...Simple Mobile is providing me with 31 days of service since March has a 31st day. The billing cycle date doesn't change whether the month has 30 days or 31 days which is actually easier to remember on when you have to refill every month as it's always falling on the same day. I tried out Simple Mobile and know the advantages and disadvantages and I can now compare them to T-Mobile. Will keep the sim on the side just in case I want to go back to Simple Mobile sometime. They haven't done much wrong to me except their advertising lies.
Also, RP doesn't provide unlimited min's/txt - the cap is actually 8000 minutes/5000 text.
To each their own, if you don't like the prepaid company you're using then find another for the phone you're using...that's the beauty of prepaid.
No mvno provides unlimited talk/text except for possibly Straight Talk and Net10. Such is the bargaining power of Tracfone/America Movil. Prepaid Divisions like Boost, Virgin and others probably do have truly unlimited vs mvnos though. They've got lots of night/weekend/m2m minutes to pad their plans unlike mvnos which pay for anytime minutes all the time...
I have heard that Verizon prepaid, AT&T prepaid, T-Mobile prepaid, Boost, Virgin Mobile, Metro PCS, Straight Talk, and Net10[/B] are all TRULY unlimited in TALK/TEXT.
So does that leave the only companies who advertise unlimited talk/text that isn't really unlimited as : H2O, Red Pocket, Jolt, Page Plus, and Simple Mobile?
Am I missing any others who actually advertise unlimited talk/text and don't really give it.
Straight Talk, Net10, and Simple Mobile are the only ones who still advertise unlimited data and don't offer it and suspend data.
Any idea on how many minutes/text one must use before being suspended on Page Plus or Simple Mobile?
I don't know Verizon or Tmobile mvnos. I do know that a common cap for "unlimited plans" on Sprint mvnos is 4000 to 6000, 2000 texts and 5gb of data. For Att mvnos, it's 5000 minutes and probably 10,000 texts. Att mvnos have never offered "unlimited" data. Verizon mvnos probably pad their "unlimited" plans with their 3000-3200 7pm /night/weekend minutes that most of their mvno monthly plans come with and use anytime minutes to fill in the rest. It is not know what the caps are for Page Plus and Simple
If it is a Big 4 Prepaid division, Tracfone company or unlimited prepaid cdma regional (Metro/Cricket, etc), they offer truly unlimited in the talk/text area I understand.
I recommend those carriers for people who are truly heavy talkers/texters.
From reading around here I can say that with H2O there are no warnings and that with Simple Mobile there is a series of 2 text messages. the first is to warn that suspension will occur if the pattern of usage is continued and on the text they say whether voice, text, or data and the second text is actually saying that you've been suspended.
As far as the other mvno's, I really don't know.
I did speak to Page Plus a week ago and an agent informed me that they are truly unlimited and that they don't practice suspension on talk/text anymore like they did when their unlimited plans first came out.
If this is truthful I don't know.
Very interesting info there Danny.
Thanks for sharing.
I was also thinking of page plus as well since I'm prob leaving RP next month and VZW has way better coverage then RP coverage however they only offer 1GB data so will have to see how I do this month with my data and judge accordingly.
Page Plus is good from what people have been telling me but you need to find out how it works by you. If the data is consistent and take into consideration that EVDO isn't fast so if you do end up getting it then not to expect the speeds T-Mobile or Straight Talk provide. Then you need to go out and buy a Verizon smartphone.
Even though they encourage byod there is always the chance that a specific phone will not be activated...whereas on GSM things are much easier. That's also something to consider when going for prepaid and is why I prefer T-Mobile / AT&T rather than CDMA.
And in answer to your previous question, I believe that H20, Red Pocket, and Jolt just suspend without sending any warnings when someone goes over the "unlimited" amounts for minutes/text that they allow.
Simple Mobile sends out the warning and Page Plus claims they don't suspend anymore.
So I guess that should summarize it for all the 14 popular prepaid brands (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Boost, Virgin Mobile, Metro PCS, Straight Talk, Net10, AirVoice, Page Plus, Simple Mobile, H2O, Red Pocket, and Jolt)that offer monthly plans with unlimited talk/text claims.
Good points there man.
Thank you.
I do like the Sim in the gsm providers cause its easy to change cells at any time if they are unlocked.
Also would have to buy a cdma 3g phone and they ain't cheap.
I'll decide in three weeks or so.
Moving on to the OP here, is anyone actually retaining their data when refilling early be it with RP or Jolt?
