Price change on Loyalty Nationwide 550 Plan

Since when did the Loyalty Family Nationwide 550 Plan change from $59.99 to $49.99
That's what I was told today by a CSR when I called VZW on another issue. When I was told this, I switched to that plan immediately. It was recorded and I recorded it also on my end. I knew that the Nationwide 550 was always the same price as the ACII but does anyone know when the price changed??? I'm guessing it just happened and I haven't seen anything about it anywhere.

I'd be interested to get more info on this also as this would be a good plan for my relatives. Is the $49.99 the price for 2 lines?

Might have been due to the change to Account Level Pricing. So it's $50 + 9.99 Lime Access fees. Also you can't have unlim fam txt for $30 on the 550.

Can you get this plan if you never had Verizon before?? I know, unlikely. If you can, what are the details? Thank you.

Yes, that price is for two phones, I have ACII 500 minute plan for $59.99....which breaks down $50 for the first line and $9.99 for the second and my employee discount on the first $50. The CSR said that $49.99 was the new price on the Nationwide 550 plan for me and didn't elaborate. She acted surprised as though it was a new thing. Although logging into My Verizon still shows me with the ACII, I'll keep track of it to see when it changes on My Verizon website to hold them up to my $10/month savings. Quite frankly it was news to me too as I didn't expect it.....that's the reason I started this thread.

Sounds like your rate plan change was future dated. Look for it to start effective when your bill cycles over.

I changed to this from the 700 minute Family Share.
It is $50 for the primary line and $10 for each shared line.
So my two line + taxes = $75. I feel that $15 of taxes and fees is out of line when the service is $60. That's like 20%.
=> Read my reviews for the Motorola DROID MAXX, DROID Ultra, and DROID Mini.

    => VX8000 at Disney World:Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4.

I just got a notice from Verizon and they are changing the way they post the prices. The example shows that what used to be $60.00 for the first line, and $9.99 for the second line for a total of $69.99 (for 700 minutes), is now $50.00 for the "Account", $9.99 for the first line and $9.99 for the second line, for a total of $69.98. Hey! they lowered the cost by one cent!
This may be the $10 "change" that the CS rep saw.

It's just the new ALP pricing and apparently an uninformed rep. It's now $59.98 for two lines instead of $59.99. The account level is $40 then the first line is $9.99 and the second is $9.99. That makes it $59.98. Used to be $50 for first and $9.99 for second. Now if you look at the account level and the first line together that is $49.99 but you still have the second line added for another $9.99.

    We have a winner!

Same pricing. Just looks different. Sorry, 1 cent cheaper
No longer a VZW employee, but still a good information source.

It is not different if you have a service discount. One is getting a discount on $40 instead of $50.

Wrong. Discount on ALP pricing is off of account level plus one line so that the discount equals the same as on the primary line before.

wrong, as I currently get the discount on the unlimited text msging part of the plan as well since I have "talk and text" family share. The new plan will still give the discount on the alp pricing and the 9.99 for one line but not the $30 part of the texting, effectively increasing my bill $6 since I get 20% discount from the way it was described to me. We will see on the next bill if that is indeed the case. If I want to add a line to my account now, it tells me my "plan" is no longer available and tries to get me to switch to the new form of pricing.
