You can install power widgets which in turn help to save the power in android phone.
One can save power by following simple steps like configuring their display settings, downloading power widgets, configuring notifications of email and other social networks, killing unnecessary programs, turn off GPS and similar type of services to it. This footmarks helps in saving 40% of battery life.
Along with JuiceDefender, also try Easy Battery Saver. When put into Intelligent mode, it is the most effective.

I install only one app at a time.
The app has to have minimum permissions.
The app has to have great feedback.
Installing one at a time I found some apps cause battery drain, for example the Microsoft Virtual Animal App,
I installed the app and my battery life went from 2 days to 7 hours.
I believe rogue apps stop devices from going into deep hibernation and this effect battery life severely.
I do no believe in running a app JuiceDefender (over head) to reduce battery life.
Watch the apps uninstall power hungry apps.
Watch the display make sure it is not running all the time full brightness.
Read a tech paper a suspended app in Android take no battery life.
A footprint is saved to restore the app quickly, and even that is killed when Android OS requires the memory.
JuiceDefender, task killers sure will say ..... buy me !!! They want to stay in business but they are not needed.
I get two days on my device.
I keep all apps from checking for updates automatically plus I will only update apps in the morning when I have the phone plugged in, fully charged and using the wifi. I use droidwall & LBE privacy guard to keep app permissions to a minimum and only allow them to use the permissions they need, I use Titanium to freeze stock apps that I don't use or need .. has kept my battery life very high.

I will recommend you to switch off your unusual apps, gps, configure your display settings, make usage of social networking apps thriftily. This will help you out to save your battery life.
Wow thanks for this, I use bit defender and I have smart screen pro![]()

Download power widget software it helps in saving your phones battery.
I have an LG Optimus T. It lasts 9 days with a single charge while still functioning as a phone. Day-in and day-out.
No 3G / 2G trick. No Juice Defender, no task killers (tried them, hated them). No lowering screen brightness or disabling vibration.
All I did was turn off packet-data (I have no data plan). However, at some point, I found that I also need to turn off the Wi-Fi. There is some sneaky app, potentially stock app, on my phone that is waking up and disrupting its meditation.
All I wanted is an App that will turn off WiFi (actually toggling the WiFi switch in Settings) while the screen is turned off. I couldn't find one and I am to busy to learn to write one myself. Leaving the Gingerbread OS to do it does not work.
All these points are very well valid..Cheers to that..
I want to mention an app called Advanced Task Manager Pro(paid)...kills all the unwanted running applications in the background..and helps you save some battery..as well!!
Another great app is Autorun Manager. You pick which apps to turn off / keep from starting up. The Pro license grants you unlimited processes you can kill, believe the free version kills 4.

LED indicator on my HTC One V is not accurate/stable when recharging it. I always turn the phone off to recharge. The first several days, it showed steady orange but never changed to green when the battery was fully charged. Yesterday, it blinked orange and never turned green when it was fully charged.
In both cases, the LED indicator turns green when I turn on the phone while the power cable is still connected. And in both cases, the battery was in fact fully charged. It's just the indicator is not accurate/stable.
The indicator SHOULD turn green when the battery is fully charged, regardless of whether the phone is on or off, right?
