Update: took battery out and put phone in a bowl of rice for around 10 hours. It boots and works ok so far but I can see water under the screen, anyone have advice on how to fix that? Will it eventually evaporate?

My less than 30 day old Sensation just took a trip through the washing machine. Anyone know if Tmobile will replace it or if I will have to go through insurance? Never damaged a phone before and I'm sick to my stomach over this as I don't have the money to replace it.

Wow. Sorry man. No warranty centre will even touch that phone. At least it turns on. If you are lucky, the water will evaporate. Maybe you could help it along with a blow dryer?

Good thing I got the insurance, though money is really tight right now so even the deductible is too much($130) so I'm REALLY hoping it pulls through. In any event, must say it's quite impressive it works after a full cycle through the washing machine.
Hope the battery was dead before it went through the wash.
First thing you do if it got wet is to remove the battery ASAP.
Do not put the battery back in unless you are absolutely certain that the insides are completely dry.
Battery+water = shorted connections and fried electronic components.
Nope, it was almost fully charged. Took the battery out right away though, maybe it'll make it. Survived so far just have a little water under the screen that doesn't seem to want to leave.
It's now an HTC SensOcean ;-)
Sorry I couldn't resist!

LOL, nice.
May have been too optimistic, it's no longer turning on. Plugged it in and it alternates flashing a green and orange light.
It's Alive! I decided to try one more thing before having to shell out for the deductible, buying a new battery. Got the Anker and popped it in an hour ago. So far everything is working so I'm really hoping the "SensOcean" keeps ticking.
NICE! Like Timex watches. "Takes a lickin', keeps on tickin'."
