I would think Sprint would instead push any of its slower selling items off to the prepaid world, and Sprint themselves would put their primary focus on the iPhone, mainly because they are on the hook with apple ...
Sprint seems to be thinking otherwise, the survey was focusing on feedback regarding applications and widgets of current android devices. If the survey had only focused on entertainment centered apps and games, then more of the same would be expected. However, the survey focused on app feedback and specifics regarding ease of use. The iPhone and Windows devices both provide easier to use OS's right out of the box. Maybe they are preparing an app line up for future devices that includes what current subscribers are already using in an effort to provide a better end user experience from the start.
Sprint already pushes it's overstock of poor selling contract devices to prepaid Boost Mobile. It's Sprint's value brand, and those devices sell quite well on that brand.
You're assuming that Sprint is not selling enough iPhones at this time. There continues to be a waiting period for the device at Sprint retail. They have agreed to a certain quantity of devices over a set period of time. Not a specific device over a period of time. Most agreements get ratified when approaching a renewal point and this Apple agreement is no different. Unless the Apple device proves to be a horrible seller, which it has not, or Sprint ceases to exist, via acquisition or other scenario, which can occur to any company, then you can expect iPhones to remain as part of Sprint's line up for the long term. If at some point Sprint is in need of increasing their total sales numbers of the device, they have an extensive mvno reseller group that they can provide the devices to in addition to their own inhouse prepaid brands.

P R E P A I D is just another way to offer (and pay for) premium services and devices.
I know Sprint has been selling the iPhone like hot cakes. But Sprint's problem is they don’t' actually expect to make any money from the sale of the iPhone until around 2014.
I would love to see a decent Windows phone on VM, but I think Boost would get it first at this point.
I don’t want VM or Sprint to not make it through their “rough patch,” but I do want to see more than a survey that steers us in a direction they are focused on anyway, only to give us another 600 mhz android cell phone.
Even though the survey allows for a person to choose other, or point out frustrations, it doesn’t indicate that VM plans on going anywhere except for maybe a new android phone running a skin.
Or, if they will use this data from VM users to apply new tactics within Boost to draw us 25.00 people away from our grandfathered plan.
How do you get me away from a 25.00 deal? Offer me a Windows/iphone phone on Boost, then I would leave VM tomorrow.

That's precisely what they intend to do, however to offer it on a value brand such as Boost (which based on your post ~ you are a fan of ) would be monumentally ignorant. Why would they go from $35 from a Virgin mobile subscriber as you yourself indicate ($25 which is no longer available) to $50 with Shrinkage = $35/$40. Does not make a bit of sense, except for phanbois of Boost Mobile.
The only reason for Sprint, or any carrier for that matter, to introduce an iphone or premium prepaid smartphone on prepaid, would be to generate more profits than are currently being realized with their current efforts. A temporary $55 monthly increase on Boost would result in less profits than a required $75-$95 monthly service for premium phones @ Virgin Mobile. The fact that they are not surveying Boost Mobile subscribers further illustrates the potential fate of that floundering brand. Their opinions may not be valued as much as Virgin Mobile subscribers, just the facts based on the lack of Boost Mobile surveys. In addition to all those Boost Mobile iDen loses (what.. 4 Million maybe 5 Million $50/mo iDen loses @ Boost mobile) this is starting to look awful for the Boost brand, hopefully the influx of new android product will bring new life to Boost Mobile just as it did for Virgin Mobile USA.
The survey does seem to indicate they may be getting ready to get entice you off the $25/mo plan by introducing a new VM premium prepaid service option.
We don't need a high end phone, just a mid-level phone (Triumph spec-wise) that actually works reliably at affordable prices. If everyone answered yes for high end phone, they'll just bring in an overpriced phone, and it'll likely perform like a mid-level phone. Phone selection is more than just price. Take the Optimus V, a great cheap, reliable phone. If they only bumped the screen size, internal memory, and CPU a little, it would sell a lot, and for not a whole much more.
The mythical "high end" Android phone is only good on paper. When it reaches manufacturing, and production, little bugs and quality issues come into play. Which is why VM should be focused on bringing popular line of mid-level to older high-end Android phones that have been released on the market for a while for the bugs and kinks to be worked out. Manufacturers are also likely to release upgrades to popular lines of phones rather than a customized version for 1 or 2 carriers. It would save them & customers money and headaches. The Triumph was the result of previous VM surveys that thought people were willing to pay a premium for a high-end phone on paper. Then reality set in.

Absolutely older phones like the EVO/Evo Shift/etc., would work just fine along with the BlackBerry Torch/Bold, and other OS's devices like the Windows & iOS. Too bad the survey did not ask about wanting to pay retail prices for older phones such as those... Maybe a new survey will include that question: would you buy an outdated phone on Prepaid Virgin Mobile or would you port your number to T-mobile, Go Phone, VZW, etc., etc., because they have better newer devices for their prepaid service? I wonder what the answer from Virgin Mobile masses would be?

Asking people if they would rather leave is just bad advertising, I don't think you need a basic class to learn that
Maybe a Windows phone as Microsoft is hungry for market share and if Blackberry gets it's head screwed on straight maybe one of those also.
lol iPhone. (loli-phone.)
Windows phones are coming out in low-end varieties, and the Blackberry lineup on VM is stagnating so bad the stench is starting to get to me
Best guess is they (VM) designed the image themselves. That blogger borrowed it and stamped his watermark on top. VM decided to use the image in an example, but had lost it... So an employee went back to the blogger's site, downloaded the image, and then cropped the watermark out.
I’ m no fan of Boost, I have never used it, and I don’t know of anyone who has used it. I don’t hate it, I just have no idea about it really, but I might soon, if VM’s new phone is about equal to my intercept.
What I am becoming is “not” a fan of VM. When I first signed on with them, I told everyone how awesome it was. I had around 5 or so family members, and who know how many friends that I had talked into VM. Most of them have left due to the slow data speeds.
I can accept the slow data speeds mainly because 90% of everything I do is on wi-fi.
I would much rather have a mid-range Windows (mango) phone than an iphone. I don’t care much for the iphone (for several reasons)..but a lot of people think that the iphone is the best thing ever.
Boost iden is dead, no reason to go to it. Their cdma however seems to be just fine for boost, but what do I know? I just use a service I pay for, until I choose a different service to pay for. Would I pay more for 4g? No, probably not. Would I pay 5 dollars more for 3g that I can actually use? Probably, but T-Mobile is not in my area.
Every pre paid choice in my area (net10, Boost, VM, Metro) all use Sprint. If I leave VM, it will be to go to another Sprint based service. So my only reason to hop around is phone choice and cost.
I am not a fanboy of any company. I don’t support any company with my words, only with my money. I will gladly jump to another company or division if it meets my standards of cost, quality, and choice.

Why did VM steal the image from someone who grabbed the image from them?
I ended up here after seeing my blog -- the one VM grabbed the image from -- got some traffic from this thread. Gotta admit this is pretty funny...and sad
I grabbed it from the survey which included questions about the widget. The most recent survey asked more questions about widgets and if I knew what one was, how to add to my Home screen, etc. This could imply that the widget in question could be a reality in the near future.

Thanks for the linkage
At the time you were also talking about how the My Account app did essentially nothing. At least now it has some minor purpose. And the VM Minutes Checker, well... I've already read your opinion about it but it's a really fine app
There was a new virgin mobile survey sent out yesterday morning. I checked my email late and i couldn't fill it out because many people had filled out the survey. It was called Virgin Mobile survey for Android Users. Come on someone had to take the survey. Just want to know some details on the survey.
