Has anyone else noticed how long it takes to get a data connection on a Razr. We have sold quite a few and never once has a customer had a connection while the phone was still in my store. At this point I tell them its going to be 3 hours and tell them to come back tomorrow and I will help you set it up the rest of the way if you need help.
I actually have no idea how long it takes because no one comes back for help. The first customer I sold a Razr to I swapped the phone 3 times.
You're not the only one who has noticed. When I activate a razr, I'm usually thinking there's a 50 percent chance it's going to actually activate with no problem. Something tells me this BOGO on the razr has something to do with some manufacturer defects, but I'm just speculating.
Activate the phone in eroes, get it to activate for provisioning and whatnot. Afterwards, throw it wifi during the setup process. Get the phone rolling, tutorial, setup, etc.. then by the time you're sending them out the door turn the wifi off and restart the phone. I have a very high success rate doing this. It's exactly what I did with the Bionics until they updated the software.
