Unlocking / flashing Sharp 770SH and 705SH

Hi,

How hard is it to unlock a Japanese Sharp 770SH or 705SH? Can I do that myself (I'm not an expert at all), or would I have to give it to some pro's? Does it matter if it is the old Vodafone version or the newer Softbank version?

Would MMS (incoming and outgoing) work on these phones after unlocking? Or would I have to flash to a EU firmware?

Easiest way would be to search ebay UK and get vodafone uk to unlock it (they do for free).

770sh and 705sh I believe have different mainboards, but sx633 and 705sh are similar in hardware

Do you know by any chance if the UK Version of the 770SH has any other languages than english for T9 and the UI? It's not a big deal if not, but I'm curious if it would be possible to have T9 in German.
Forget that question... I should have read the auction description first.

Next question is, what is an appropriate price? Currently there's a 770SH on eBay.co.uk for £129.99. Is it just me, or is that a little expensive? The device is new, though.

770sh should have the usualy european languages on it, I believe it was sold in germany, I remember seeing the mclaren mercedes version a few times from ebay.de

it seems overpriced, I remember refurbs from china going for less than 100usd like 2 years ago, but there might be less stock now

I got an old 770SH that was originally purchased from SFR (France) if you'd like that. Unless you're looking for something in immaculate condition...then back in the box this thing goes.

And what color is it and how much do you want for it?

Actually i think SFR is my other one..........that I no longer have....

But the one I got is from Proximus (Belgium). And the only branding is a stupid purple square at the top of the screen..... Hmmm in fact here's a picture of what it looks like. Although that picture may be inaccurate since that picture was taken right after I bought the thing lol.
