I have read elsewhere that the 2010 and 2011 HMP plans are the same code entry in the Wind computer systems. If this is really the case (??) then adding Windtab+ should work NOW as the 2011 promotion is still in effect. However, it may not work in a few days when the promotion ends.

We can all hope that it does, but I would not bet next months rent money on it.

tabbing depends on postpaid (pay after) credit check.
if your credit is good you can get 1000 tab
if your credit is shady you can get 500.
if you have no credit we will stop you and you can't get it.

if you sign up a line with the HMP then get a galaxy nexus later then fine
you will "upgrade" remember you can upgrade up to 1000 room maximum.
remember the HMP expires Jan 8th.. they may extend it into february upon speculation.
again speculation only by me.

i think you can always wintab+ but the plan depends on the promotion.
like the amaze was 249 then it dropped to 99 then it went up to 249 again.

With regards to the Galaxy Nexus, is the WindTab tied to a specific phone number or is it only linked to the account?

Reason I ask is that I've got my mom on the $25 plan with the $200 credit and I wouldn't mind jumping on the Nexus when it comes out, but if for whatever reason I need to leave WIND, can the WindTab still be paid off by the other number still active on the account?

That's correct. The number of lines possible will show depending on your credit score - will range from 2-3 to up to as many as 20.

htc amaze/sgs2x for me it is then, unless they can show the camera is decent on the nexus. my playbook will have to live without a counterpart 9900.
