Kind of expensive if you consider the cost of the phone. Are they willing to extend the return policy while they work things out?

RW has always said that E911 won't work over Wifi. I believe their dialer has always been set up to route 911 calls over Cellular, even if you have a Wifi connected. This is not a bug.
In answer to the more general question: RW's service has always been pretty reliable. There were some call quality problems that only really picky customers (like me) would have complained about, but they appear to be fixed. The phone software also had quite a few bugs, especially relating to the speakerphone and VOIP calls, and most of those have been fixed.
Right now, the only major issue is the speakerphone echo problem. VOIP is notorious for echo and I doubt that they'll ever be able to fix it.
In the meantime, however, RW isn't charing us ANYTHING for monthly service, and given that it is unlimited, I have nothing but praise for RW. If you can get into the Beta, you should.

The price of a smartphone is $650. That's not gonna persist.
Dennis Woodside, CEO of Motorolahttp://www.androidauthority.com/moto...rategy-220042/Rolfe Winkler of the Wall Street Journal also thinks that these fighting words from Woodside should have “executives at Samsung shaking in their boots.” He also thinks that “folks at Apple should also be sweating.”
I have an Optimus V now and my problem with it is lack of memory, so I was going to root it. I wonder if the oneclicks will work on the RW phone.
The phone is ALREADY ROOTED.
All you have to do is download Superuser from the market.
tmobiley, Do you still like the service? Has it improved since your last update?
Yes, the service is good. I am enjoying it. Not too much to update on, just that it is working well - not too many new features or anything yet.
I am still waiting for SMS to be fully functional and MMS, too.
T-Mobile. Connecting you when you need it most... disconnecting you when you need to connect with God's beautiful creation! Service is great in cities and highways, but in rural areas they leave you with just your surroundings. I encourage you to get T-Mobile, disconnect for a while!
I am glad that God is not like cell phone coverage. He does not hide behind mountains or loose us down long windy roads. The Lord levels mountains, and He makes our paths straight!
I can tell you the phone does automatically switch to the cell network for 911 call's, even though on the screen it still shows its connected to WiFi, its done behind the scene.
Sometimes depending on how RW is registered on the Sprint network, it could be registered as a prepaid device for 911 call routing and when your 911 call hits the tandem switch when being routed, they may only get B-911 which may or may not have a phone number depending on what PSAP you hit.
The call routing is dependent on the cell tower, and also the PSAP accepting the call, you could hit one sector of the tower and be routed to the next county or city over and hit another and its the correct sector.
More than likely its a provisioning error which you have thankfully made RW aware and hopefully you won't have to test it out again!
At home its always best to have a basic landline just for 911 purposes because no cell phone is going to give the correct address like a landline will though.
