I have been waiting since July for 4G. I now hear though 4G devices may not see the light of day until July 2012?

I hope this is not true but u never know with US Cellular. I can't live with my Desire anymore not being able to update apps or download new ones. Looks like it might be the Electrify for me I been waiting too long also.

From some people I know that work there. Also from talking with customer relations, one told me possibly summer as well.

Reps in store and over the phone usually know little to nothing about phone releases until right before they actually receive the devices... So take that with a grain of salt...

I have asked someone who is extremely reliable in the stores about this info a few weeks back. He told me that, from what he had seen, that 4G devices would be rolling out in Q1 but suggested waiting until Q2 for the really meaty stuff. He also suggested that Chicago would have 4G sometime around Q2. While I take this info with a grain of salt this source has been extremely reliable and knowledgeable in the past.

Or a bit north. Kenosha would be in the initial roll-out. IIRC Wisconsin Dells is not. I don't have the map in front of me.

This is good news. I've looked at the map and it looks like the dells will be on the initial rollout, if I'm wrong, eh. Ill still have a gs2. US Cellular is the best deal for me. Two lines with android devices with USCC costs the same as one line with verizon.

I'm also curious to know - I could use a new phone and I've been eligible for over a month now but I'm waiting to see what 4G phones they get. If they get the Galaxy S2 that would be ideal but if they get the lower end 4G phones then I've just waited all that time for nothing. And I don't want to have to wait too long either. Hopefully they will have something by February.

According to a store rep, I was 'informed' that 4G LTE will be coming to the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. Last I recall the previous announcement only listed Cedar Rapids (an hour away) as the closest city getting 4G.

When I look at the 4G map it includes Waterloo/Cedar Falls as well as Waverly. It looks like it follows 63 North and part of the avenue north up to a little before Charles City area.
