Changing phone number on concession account via My Verizon

I just got my Thunderbolt courtesy of Verizon concession accounts today, they activated it in an area code I did not want, is it okay to change my phone number via My Verizon without telling my rep?

Anybody chiming in would be appreciated greatly

You might have to call your rep, but I'm not real sure.
