Everything works, except data. I get an error message saying "Connection failed due to incorrect APN setting". Bell and Virgin uses the same APN settings though. Do I need to unlock the phone?
Sorry, I can't figure out how to edit my post. I think I figured out my problem though.
I put my sister's SIM card in (she's also on Virgin) and data worked. So something is wrong with my SIM card. I didn't get data when I had a 3GS on iOS5 either, but that's because I restored settings from iOS3, which included the use of Fake APN. Back then, iOS3 had no setting to turn off data and it had done by altering the APN. And what I'm thinking is, the APN is stored on my SIM, so when I stuck it in my HTC, it had the altered APN still.
Thanks for the replies! I actually haven't had time to get my SIM replaced yet, but I'm going to a Virgin booth or store tomorrow. I'm pretty positive it's my SIM because my sister's SIM worked.
