I'm stuck in a similar situation. Spent 2 hours in the Sprint store jumping through hoops and loops... No dice. I'm trying to get off the liability for 4 lines with my friends since I went to Verizon. Ugh!

I have had 3 Sero lines for a few years.. I have been thinking about going to a different family plan, and finally made up my mind, had someone lined up to take over my account. I activated an account with another carrier, etc. Now I called Sprint to see what my next step is and they told me that only current Sero account holders can add Sero lines to their account. Can anyone confirm this? Or has anyone done a TOL lately where this wasn't true. OMG I wish they would have told me this the first time I called them before I bought these other phones, etc..![]()

the person who you are giving the plan to HAS to have a EPRP account.after that person has his/her new account open THEN you can do the TOL....BUT that doesnt mean its going be a walk in the park..sprint will still try not to transfer the plan dont worry tho just hang up and try try try again....FYI dont go into the store they will not help you at all!! trust me ive been threw all this..oh you must call into the employee call center as they are the only reps who can handle SERO accounts

The other party MUST have a Sero line already, but it wasn't that hard to transfer once the interested parties contacted me.. I got rid of 3 lines within a few days. Someone else was kind enough to post great directions in another thread, which I followed -- all I had to do was give the person taking over my lines my phone # info, and waited for the phone call from Sprint. Very easy.. here is the info (in quotes) from the other thread, in case anyone else can't find it:
"1.- Have the person TAKING over the plan call A.S. 877-775-4886
2.- They tell Sprint the name on the account and number they are taking over. Also the number to contact the plan owner.
3.- Sprint rep calls owner gets pin, owner tells Sprint to call you back if there are any issues transferring the line.. DONE..
There are multiple reasons to do it like this..
1.-- Fastest for the seller. You are on the phone 1 minute
2.-- SERO seller doesn't have repeated call ins for TOL listed on their account if he moves 2 or 3 a month this can really add up. And you don't want a flagged account.
I will give you my account info, and if and when you are successful step 2, you can pay me and I'll do step 3. So no risk to you on the YMMV part. "
Hi justamom2,
Glad to hear you were able to go through with your transfers. I'm thinking about doing the same. What form of payment did you arrange? Paypal? I've never done any online/remote payment transactions before. Just curious.

Hrm -- I currently have two SERO premium plans on my account, and was hoping to "split" the plan so that my girlfriend and I have separate accounts... are we SOL now for a TOL? Or could she do a signup for an EPRP, do a TOL, then cancel the original EPRP within 14 days?
Thanks for the update either way...
Yup
You nailed it. EPRP plans are the same category as sero plans, so your method will work. It involves a little work, since you'll essentially be returning whatever phone you get on EPRP.
The other option is to call employee care and ask them to separate the accounts. About 2 months ago I sold a sero plan to someone. He didn't have a sero account so they ran his credit and after he was approved from scratch, they did the transfer. The rep helping us must have known to set his shell account up as an EPRP plan so that the transfer of liability could go through. Anyway, I got lucky, but you might too. And this method doesn't involve all the extra hassle. Worst case scenario, they tell you no.
Can you guys help me? I recently created a brand new EPRP account. I TOL'd a Sero line to it, upgraded it to premium, closed the original EPRP line, and then the Sero line was converted to a regular EPRP line. I've been dealing with Sprint Employee phone line and they told me the TOL never should have gone through in the first place. As such, I can't have a Sero line on a brand new EPRP account. After about an hour of calling, they finally agreed to let me return the line to the original owner and then they will restore it to a Sero line.
Once the line has been returned and restored, can I just have the rep change the owner of the old account to me and have the other lines (non-sero) moved to a brand new account? This way the Sero line will stay on an old account, albeit with a new owner.
