The Connect has a few things over the Esteem:
1.) 1.2 dual core
2.) Dolby sound
3.) Give the .3" smaller screen...slightly more portability
I'm ALMOST sold on the Connect but I'll have to play with it first to truly know.
Think about it this way, you will notice BIG TIME on screen size between the Admire (3.5 inch) and the Wildfire(3.2 inch). However, you won't notice as much on a phone with an already big screen like in our case.
i tell u what bud us that have the Lg esteem wow! i just connected this bad boy to my lcd tv and i played angry birds and krazy kart and watched some movies off netflix and i tell you this is a good advantage we have so far. now this phone i gotta admit the screen will be smaller but i dont think its going to be a big deal.
here ya go

very nice but no mini hdmi out port?
I cant wait for the connect to come out, thou the attain should be held back for a while. A lot of issues with this phone "display wise". I dont think metro wants another indulge on there hands.

i was gonna say that lol i guess this gonna be a more compact cheaper version of the esteem but does have that dual core at 1.2 to help interest tech geeks like myself. another thing that caught my attention its using a vga front side camera instead of a high resoultion camera like we have on the esteem.... i guess they had to go up on somethings and go down on others to make this phone affordable for metro eh? but anyways it looks like a great phone by Lg and i will say the esteem is my first Lg phone and they have definately earned my approval and respect i believe they make good quality phones along with samsung. just dont ask me which company i like the most lol.
Sorry cant say "signed a peace of paper saying so" but it does. Samsung built in a light sensor to dimm or brighten the display depending on the light around you. So if your outside the display get brigther inside display get dimmer. Sad to say its not working properly.
