I'm also pretty sure that Metro's official PR on the Connect 4G said that it would be available within the next month. That press release was made on January 9th.

EXACTLY.
What they are claiming is even if they release it in June, hey it's not delayed! How ridiculous. MetroPCS should be apologizing for their broken promises, not spinning words.
It IS delayed. It's been delayed by a year -- the 4th LTE Android of the 5 or 6 were were supposed to have by now!![]()
MetroPCS repeatedly, publicly promised they would deliver 5 or 6 LTE Androids in 2011. Promises they made to press and investors at the end of 2010 and repeated in 2011. So, how many did they deliver in 2011? 2. (Samsung Galaxy Indulge and LG Esteem). They've since released a 3rd LTE Android in 2012 -- the Samsung Galaxy Attain.
So, until MetroPCS gets "a handful", "half a dozen", "five or six" LTE Androids (< actual words from Metro's CEO and other management) under their belt, EVERY LTE Android is blatantly "delayed" from what they publicly stated and have repeatedly promised to customers for LAST YEAR.
The next 2 or 3 LTE Android phones out of the gate in 2012 (whatever they are) are already officially "delayed" from what Metro promised us. Get to work, Metro!
___________
It's one thing to delay phones for quality control, to make sure you get it right. It's another to claim you haven't broken promises and nothing is delayed. Give me a break.![]()

Your creed may be interesting, but your deeds are much more convincing.

You are totally correct. Press release, dated Jan 9 says TWICE "within the next month". It's already past February 9, so it's DELAYED.Stupid MetroPCS management doesn't even know how many weeks are in month!

suppose its marketing strategy kind of when ur friend is driving and ur trying to get in the car but he keeps moving forward lol anyways im guessing it amps up the all anticipation meaning more people really getting excited for this phone waiting every second for it to be released until BAM! black friday in every metro store lol ofcourse that wont ever happen but my esteem back in december was harder to find than the lochness monster, i went to 5 stores all over my town till one said u know what our other location might have one let me call and sure enough 1 last esteem and i just said ok tell them im on my way and to hold it. =D i peeled out of the parking lot and what was ironic the location was next to my home only 5 min away... yea true stroy but yea i think sammy is trying to play the same game as Lg or perhaps just metro having fun with the fake release dates eh.
LG Connects will hit the warehouse next week and will be in stores first week of March by the time they are shipped. I will have a price as soon as I get it.

Thank you SmartMark!
Thanks for that SmartMark!! But for that price I guess I will look a little closer at the Esteem. Even with a 50 rebate. For 20 more you get a better phone in the Esteem. Maybe if it comes with 100 rebate I would get the Connect!
I guess the dual core is the one making the difference the esteem bigger esteem makes up for it

I still want to do a side by side comparison to determine if i want it over my Esteem or if i'm keeping it and getting my wife her own Esteem.
