HTC Merge Using SIM Card (Working!)

Finally After Spending about 2 weeks working on this!. Okay First of off you need to be S-Off, and Rooted By following this Guide. Then You can go back to U.S.Cellulars STOCK ROM Even the Gingerbread one (thats what im using)

Okay So I found out the issue that stops the phone from using the SIM Card Slot. Its not the software its the Modem itself in the phone! So running the STOCK rom but using a different modem.

After Getting it backup and no S-Off, Now to the sim card working
And For the Modem to use Download This one Follow this guide on How to install that Modem After that Reboot and Pop your Sim card in, Be sure to set the phone to GSM only under wireless/Mobile Networking settings.

Then it SHOULD connect you to whatever sim you inserted Then you can setup your APN`s and Have Data,Phone calls and texts all working 100%!!

    Heres a Video too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5t9mbMClCk

Using an Orange UK SIM card in the USA working just fine on T-Mobile Network

I see on 2fastroms site that if you load the Verizon radio it breaks the PRL. How do you load the USCC PRL again? Did you download ESPT.apk and do a ##775# then enter in the MSL to update the PRL or use some other method?

    Thanks

I have tried to do this following the guide and have realized that no matter what I do I can't get my phone to go into s-off. Would this be bacause I am running 2.3.4 already? I can't find a way to root this phone either. I have tried to follow the guide that was posted but haven't had any luck at all. Does anyone know who to get the phone into s-off by any other way? I would love to be able to use this phone on AT&T.

    Thanks

If you get the chance it would be great to know how you made your gold card. That may be the issue I am having.

This is the guide I followed the gold card thing is a pain in the butt!

This guide is what helped! http://2fastroms.com/viewtopic.php?f=86&t=2559

Also That android forums or whatever threw me off big time. Cause the ONLY thing stopping the uscc merge from using AT&T/T-mobile is the Modem. But to change out the modem u gotta root and S-Off

That is the guide I was trying to use to s-off my phone and had no luck. Maybe I am doing something wrong with the gold card creation, I don't know. Did you keep your memory card in your phone when you created your gold card? I did and for some reason it still didn't work for me. Any other ideas? I would really like to get this done.

    Thanks

You should have a choice between 2 gold card things. One is for the internal storage and 2 is for the ext the SD card. and yes you must keep it in ur phone

Ok, I will try that again once I get back home. When I ran the tool it did find the drive letter that my memory card was on, and that is the one I used. Also, when I try to choose mmc1 I get an error... the only way I could get it to work was to choose mmc0. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.
