Straight Talk doesn't have any of their own towers, they use the ones belonging to other carriers. If you can get AT&T service in your area, you can get an AT&T or unlocked smartphone and use that with the SIM-swapping trick outlined in the threads at the top of the forum.Originally Posted by e.mac90

Do you work for Straight Talk or do you sell flashed phones? The question is why you care so much.
2nd if you read the posts on that thread there are people that never had any issues with the airtank. In fact Ive been getting the Straight Talk airtank messages on my Nokia SIM in my Iphone ($45 plan) for months and never had a problem. (I know that their officialy only for VZ phones.)

The only way to get a smartphone on Straight Talk's Verizon segment is to take an out-of-service smartphone and have it flashed by someone who knows what they're doing. Straight Talk doesn't normally offer any smartphones on Verizon.

Which PRL gives you the best service depends on where you are. You might try a few different ones to see which one works best in your area.

Yeah I know bumping a thread back from Jan... hey twbrn is your Epic still working fine on ST? Had any more problems with that "air tank" crap or anything? I haven't received any messages yet myself, was just curious how yours is working. I'm on PRL 59281 now btw.. and did you ever get my PM about the Samsung Stratosphere? : (
