    Porting Q

If I wish to port out a prepay number can I still do so if all funds have been used/expired? SIM is still active just plan is not.
It is sad I need to state the obvious but some people just don't get it. Any posts I make are my own OPINIONS and in no way represent the views of my employer

The line has to be still active in order to transfer it to another carrier. Ask the current carrier whether the number is still within your control or can be reactivated to allow the transfer.

If the number is a number from a carrier in the United States, the gaining carrier must have service in the same area code in the same local market. In those states with area codes covering wide geographical boundaries, there may be multiple local markets within the same area code.
