I am thinking of buying a Nokia C6-01 from Italy in order to use it both in the US (on att,Tmobile,straighttalk) and in Europe.

Is this one uniform in its 3G specifications?Are there different versions which will not work on US 3G bands?

That version from eu might just have 900,1700,1900, and 2100.

If that's the case, you might have some minor problem with AT&T which in some area using 850, but for the most part it should be fine.

C6-01 is be pentaband. Shouldn't have any problems.

There are 2 unique hardware versions of the C6-01 (RM-601 and RM-718). Only one of them is pentaband UMTS. The other version does not have 850. In any event, they all have UMTS 1700.
