Can't setup voicemail, cricket CS useless

Activated a cricket samsung vitality in Florida (so sprint roaming area) 3 days ago. Every time I try to access my vociemail (whether dialing 1 or the actual number) it says "The voice message system is unable to process your call."

Finally I called CS, first overseas rep stated she reset the voicemail and it should be OK now. Tried again, no luck. Same error message. Battery out, reset phone, same problem.

Call customer service again, second overseas rep says voicemail was reset and how many bars I have. I said 2 bars, she said please go to an area where I have 4-5 bars. I said I'm not going to drive around the city trying to find somewhere that gives me 4-5 bars. The problem is the voicemail, not the coverage.
She says we are going to troubleshoot the phone by pulling the battery I say I already did that and I'm using the phone right now so I can't pull the battery. She says it is a coverage issue and I need to get to better coverage area.

    WTF??!

Is cricket CS always this bad? I definitely won't be doing a second month with Cricket at this point. I will be porting back to T-Mobile in the next day or two as I can't afford not to get my voice mails when I have a few important job applications floating around out there.

Also I have Sprint postpaid, which is the same 2 bars inside the house and NO issues with voicemail.

Really bad first impressions of Cricket.

sounds like your getting the run around from idiots on the foreign call centers. GO TO A CORP STORE>

sounds like a minor error in switch. I know when I was a customer service rep there CID had a ton of issues trying to fix problems like that. I would see if a corp. store has any remedy to fix the issue as the phone support is pretty much worthless.

BRING BACK HO CRICKET! It's the only way to for the CSR's to fix some issues like this.... Bad business decisions in software selection causes you all to constantly loose customers.

BTW, for the people that dont know CID is merely and overly program over HO. It's just there to reduce the amount of access CSR's have to the system. I was there during the changeover so I know how much nicer it was before.

Cricket throttles their network and I only get 300k now

No corporate stores in South Florida unfortunately.

Any way to get a hold of cricket customer service that isn't outsourced? I had 4 bars and tried accessing voicemail again, same error message "Voicemail message system is unable to process your call" and hangs up on me.

Calling CS got another outsourced rep who said it's the coverage and to take the battery out of the phone. Said thanks anyway and hung up.

As I work nights I don't always get to the phone on time, thus one of the reasons we have voicemail.. just not on cricket!

Your experience is pretty normal for Cricket, customer service is nonexistent at that price point.

Once you get the provisioning problem fixed it will likely stay that way, though.

That wasn't always true, they could change their ways but greed blinds the company from seeing the truth that you need to care for the customer in order to keep the customer. Give us real customer service and stop BS'ing around before you end up like virgin and pocket.

The first few years i was with the company they valued the customer, when I left the only thing they valued was the customers money.

Keep in mind that the Cricket in the past had decent in store service quality. I know they can do better than what they are doing now.

    1) This is your problem. YOU ARE IN A NON CRICKET SERVICE AREA. You shouldn't have even been allowed to activate a phone and not be in a home area for cricket. You are using a roaming PRL in order to get service in that area. Try changing your PRL to a different one and see if that helps you. If not drive to a HOME area and see if that fixes it. If it does then you know your problem.

    amo,
How can I flash this brunette ***** to a sexy blonde with long legs?

    ---amoamare---
Pull her shirt over her head. Thats step 1,
    this initlizes the flash!
After this you simply have to use blonde_dye_1.dll this gets rid of the bugs and the ***** control thats built inside.
After that step you simply get a bumper case around the feet.
to extend the look of the legs
    thats how apple does it
and thats how we do it !

At this point it may be beter to avoid cricket voicemail and instead settle for the YouMail app assuming the samsung vitality is an android phone.

YouMail is an external visual voice mail service that also transcribes the messages. Setting up is easy the app should have instructions otherwise I can point you to a web page with the instructions.

8 overseas reps later, still no voicemail. "Voice message system unable to process your call."

I give up. Porting out of Cricket later today as I can't monitor my phone 24/7 or risk not getting a message that I can't access.

Way to bring on and keep new customers, Cricket!

    WRONG.
If he is able to activate his phone he is getting a nationwide prl that can be used anywhere and that has nothing to do with his issues with voice mail. I have used voicemail while roaming when i had cricket. This seems like a switch problem that can only be fixed with a higher up tech from cricket corp.

WRONG haha had to do it
But you are wrong, just because he IS getting a NATIONWIDE prl DOES NOT guarantee the services. Just because HE IS able to activate the phone like many of us here that can do that. DOES NOT MEAN cricket offers the services IN HIS HOME AREA. Refreshing the switch MAY help but from the sounds of that cricket has TRIED that. He is not in a HOME area and cricket DOES NOT NEED TO IN ANY SHAPE FORM OR WAY GUARANTEE HIM THAT HIS SERVICES MAY OR MAY NOT WORK SIMPLY PUT.

He needs to test in a HOME area. Then Try to see whats may be causing the issue in a ROAMING area.

getting cricket reps to refresh something in switch is very hard to do unless you hove someone thats a friend working in corp. It takes someone submitting a report on the customers behalf and someone in san diego to go into HO to refresh. The refresh in CID barely if ever works. I can try to get him in touch with someone that will fix it. Send me a PM and I'll see what I can do.
