Still waiting to see what the "Non-Contract Buy it Now" Price is then I'll pick one up.
Seems like this unlock is for the N7000 -- isn't that the "International" version of the note? Not the version that Telus and the other North American carriers are coming out with? Will the unlock code still work?

The codes are obtained via Samsung OR Telus server, so yes, it'll work.

Torn on this...the decision would be easier if it had the Xyenos processor, as I have a unlocked SGSII and love it, especially since I've put a custom ICS ROM. I'm in an LTE area though, and I think I can manage the size of the screen, and can get it fairly inexpensive on a renewal. But the SGS II is as fast as one could ask...and any lag on the Note would be a let down.

Its tempting, but I think I'll wait until ICS on the Note (not for the OEM ICS, because that still has TouchWiz, but so that the Custom ICS rom cooking can begin a bit more in the XDA community), check in on the real world reviews of the Note's performance and the LTE network first....and if I can hold out that long, June and see what the SGSIII has to offer, as Samsung has really impressed me since making the change to Android 8 months ago on my personal line and they are leading the way on the Android side.

Its on the web site for $779 outright!

Telus will sell outright, Bell has it for $729 but needs a $30 plan and $35 activation fee to buy.

Most expensive 16GB phone ever? crazy.

Insane pricing. Might as well wait for the iPad 3 and tether off your current phone's data plan.

GC: How are you finding the battery life? I bought one too, but I find that I'm getting about 6 hours before I need to recharge it. I was expecting way better battery life than that.

I haven't used it much as of yet, but I did tether it to my laptop just after I bought it last night for an hour or two at the battery was still nearly full. Don't forget that with the amount that people generally play with new phones, the screen is on a lot longer. Given the giant screen on this, this effect will be more pronounced.

What's showing for you under Settings > About Phone > Battery Usage? There's also Settings > Power Saving which I haven't poked around in too much.

I'm wondering the same thing. Also wondering if there's a way to unlock it as well.

I played around with the Power savings settings, but it didn't seem to help much. I'm trying an app called Juice Defender now. It seems to help.

I saw over on xda that http://www.cellunlocker.net/ has codes for $8. Haven't tried it for myself.

Edit: uh, looks like $33 to me.

I looked at one again today.. Jebus I can't get over how big that thing is. It's like a clown phone! No offense intended, it just makes me laugh seeing it beside other models - especially the Xperia.

Any of the Telus stores have a dummy phone available to feel?

Also any comments about the battery life with LTE usage? I know the battery life is quite good with HSPA+ as stated in the many reviews available. What I want to know is what kind of battery life should I expect with heavy usage with LTE.
