    Angry Holiday Gift $200 credit.

    I signed up on Wind, December 9th, when they had the $200 credit promotion. So yesturday was my bill cycle date I topped up $17, expecting I get the $8 top up as explained on Wind's website to cover my $25 Smart plan monthly service fee.

    So this morning I get up to use my phone to call my girlfriend and I get the message saying my funds are insufficient to make this call. I call customer service, the guy in Egypt says I will get the credit in February. I told him the website says I get $8 credit month 1-23 and $16 credit month 24. He says Wind will apply the credit in Feb. I eventually topped up another $7 so I could use my phone.

    What gives Wind????

    The terms of the Holiday Gift promo always stated that the credits would start 30 days after the end of the promotion, so seeing as it ended Dec.31st I was told by the Wind Rep that it would most likely start coming in February.

    It was stated in the terms and condition that the credit will apply 30 days after the promotional end date (December 31st), so you should expect the credit sometime February.

    MISLEADING ADVERTISEMENT: Wind has extended this $200 credit offer to JANUARY 31, their on-line fine print says "The $200 Holiday Gift will be applied directly to your account within 30 days after the end of the promotion period, in up to 24 monthly installments." I started an account with Wind on Dec. 10, expected my $8 credit applied in my January bill, according to their legal play on words, I will not be getting the credit until within 30 days after the end of the promotion which was DECEMBER 31 and is now JANUARY 31, providing this promotion date is not extended again. I await the day on which I actually see this credit applied to my account.

    Where do you see this has been extended to Jan 31?

    I thought this promotion ended Dec 31?

    Also for your note, I do agree that if a promo is stated as ending after a certain date that you should get your credit then and they should not have the right to extend a promo and hold off on your credit.

    This happened in the past where they extended the port in credit for a very long time and do not think this was fair.

    We really need some lawyers to start tacking some of the ad's that are posted to make sure we do not get taken advantage of and that what is advertised is fulfilled in a reasonable manner.

    I called Wind to check into my $8 credit and was told that the promotion was extended to January 31, they could not direct me to anywhere on their website to see this information but the telephone representative was given something to read over the phone.

    From what i know, the $200 credit promotion ended on December 31st 2011. Credits will be applied to the account 30 days after December 31st, so you should be seeing the credit sometime February. This is only applicable if you have an eligible plan, so the HMP and Supersmart/O Canada would not be valid.

    It was expires on dec. 31st for sure!

    I am sure the rep made a mistake and thought you were asking about O Canada Plan

    As a note, do not take anyone's word on the phone, let them send you a link to something you can print.

    Got the $8 credit today. Funny that it happens the day after I call Wind. Hope to see it every month.
