Has anyone tried Nokia CS-18 USB stick with TL-MR11U 3G router?

I am planning to buy a portable 3G router, and was thinking to buy the TL-MR11U...new product and in early stages it seems like it supports openWRT. Wanted to know if anyone bought / tried it?

    thanks!

I had a CradlePoint CTR-350 which worked with my Novatel Ovation MC950D and works with the Nokia CS-19. CradlePoint no longer makes/sells this router so you might be able to get it at a good price used. I really liked this router. The only thing that I found lacking was the range. You can read my thoughts on this router on my blog *HERE*.

When my CradlePoint CTR350 stopped working after a power surge, I purchased another CradlePoint product (MBR1000) which I've used both with my Novatel Ovation MC950D and then later when I upgraded to a Nokia CS-18. Both work without any issues on this router although with the CS-18, I had to manually enter Fido's APN in order to access the internet whereas with the MC950D, it automatically had access to the internet. I'm currently writing a short review of the MBR1000 and will post in on my blog (probably in 2 weeks). So far, I'm very happy with my MBR1000. The MBR1000 is also not currently being sold by CradlePoint so you might be able to get a good price on it (like I was able to).

The previous 3G router that I had before the CTR-350 was from Nexaira and the model that I had only supported a 3G PCMCIA network card and not the 3G internet stick which I recently purchased (to replace my Sierra Wireless 3G PCMCIA network card) so I purchased the CTR-350 (after reading Howard's review on a similar unit from CradlePoint but one that was battery powered).

One of the things that I like about CradlePoint is that even when one of their cellular routers are no longer being sold (replaced by an updated version), they continue to update their firmware to support additional 3G modems (which is what the 3G internet stick is).
    Fido (monthly plan - personal/data):Novatel Wireless MC950D / Nokia CS-18

Rogers (monthly BIS data plan): unlocked Blackberry Bold 9700

Red Pocket Mobile (US prepaid): unlocked Sony-Ericsson w300i

T-Mobile (US prepaid): unlocked Fido iPhone 3GS 32GB

I put in a usb modem, but it goes online, then offline and the online and offline (loops), not sure if its power related

The box looks like iphone box, and customs marked as "$5 Card Adapter"
25GB Cap? DIY Telnus prepaid/Koodo unlimited EVDO internet (for $10 per 2 months, to keep account "Active"), Max 3Mbps download speed, if you roam on Bell (free), then you get non-NATed IP

mobile files is reopened - Aug 11/2010
