N8 - Memory Full - how do I clean it up?

I recently got an error message stating that my memory on N8 is almost full and that I need to delete files.

My C: Phone Memory has gotten below 1 meg available

I do not have a lot of apps installed - maybe 10.

I have 19 meg in messages, 80 meg in SIS apps and 152 meg in Other Files

How do I find and delete the "Other Files"?
I wonder if this is related to SMS messaging.
I recently started sending out a lot of SMS messages (thousands)
I delete them but it seems they are not really being deleted.

I know that I can do hard reset ( 7370) but I do not want to go through that process

I would delete the browser cache and text messages first. I don't really understand the part above about not being able to delete messages. If the phone is not able to delete messages then a hard reset may be the only way.

I can delete the messages but I think there is some hidden temp file where the messages are stored which grew and grew. The problem lies somewhere with the "Other Files"

I have done a big google search and there are many people complaining about this type memory issue but no answer that could help me. Finally I resorted to the hard reset.

to delete browser cache:
- go to Web
- press the 2 arrows button on right bottom corner for the menu
- click: settings
- click: Privacy
- click: Clear Privacy Data
- click: All

If you use search or universal search from Beta Labs, I found out that they put a lot of junk files. Get Y-Browser or any other nice File Manager and go to C:\data
There will be directories that has the date format (example: 20120110). I deleted all of them and I get around 30MB back easy.

Not sure about the rest of other files...I got the same problem, but no luck trying to find a solution for now. That 19MB is messages may need to be cleared as well though

It seems this is SMS related.
Today I sent a lot of SMS and here is what happened to my memory

The following was the available memory on C:

start - 123.8 megs

sent 930 sms – 121.1 megs
deleted 930 sms - 123.2 megs

sent 930 sms – 119.6 megs
deleted 930 sms – 121.6 megs

sent 998 sms – 117.4 megs
deleted 998 sms – 119.7 megs

sent 685 sms – 116.9 megs
deteleted 685 sms – 118.4 megs

- this is quite odd. SMS data is definitely not being properly deleted.
Do we have any Nokia experts here that can comment on how to clean up the memory?
