Thinking of buying my kids a Go Phone

I want to buy kids a phone to share. They can take it to school and my wife and I can contact them if needed. Handy regarding their after school plans.

I don't want to spend a whole bunch of dough. I want this to be pretty cheap.

Is the Go Phone the way to go about this? They can text unlimited to right? But what about a monthly plan. What are you other parents doing and how much do you spend

The simple answer. That all depends. Do you and your wife have two phones already on the same account with one of the companies? If you already have two phones then adding one more is like $10 a month but they need to share your combined minutes is all. So you may need more minutes plus you might want to get unlimited text if you don't already have it. But that could be an added bonus for everyone in the family.

Check out this site. They have more info on how it all breaks down compared to the Go Phone.
