Can I use a postpaid SIM in an AT&T GoPhone?

My son's phone went through the wash, we're only 6 months into a contract. I can get the same phone on the cheap as a GoPhone. Can I buy the phone and put my postpaid SIM card in and carry about my business? I'm seeing conflicting info.

Yes, you can . Its the same as buying one from Craigslist or eBay. I'm on T-Mobile ( same principle) and have done it a few times. Hope this helps.

To heck with flowers and candy, leave the jewelry at the store, but when it comes to cell phones, I always want one more.

Yes, you can. Even the activation documents they send you when you buy a GoPhone online mention this can be done.

If you activate the prepaid SIM that comes with a GoPhone, that SIM won't accept any other phone but the phone still accepts other SIM cards, as long as they are for AT&T service -- prepaid or postpaid.
