    Good News!

Google Play will now work on our devices, download version 3.5.15 and install just like any other google app by throwing it into system/app, changing permissions and rebooting. I have not played with it much yet, so there may be things not working so be sure to make a backup of your working market first.

I can't get that to install; where'd you get the APK from? I copied this APK, copied it to system/app and changed permissions. Rebooted and tried to install, but nothing...

    EDIT: Latest Google Play works.

Update! New Status bar! Directly from 007SH (I think) Take a look at the screenshots!

It's not as customized as the GiGi status bar but it does not have a battery percent indication, which I prefer as I get OCD about my battery levels and it being right in my view all of the time just makes it worse haha. SO while, I prefer most of the looks of GiGi's, I like this one better for the new battery and the positioning of icons are like the original status bar. (Signal to the left and what-not) The task killer option is still present in this status bar but I will try and see if I can remove it, if anyone else wants to take a whack at it please do.

Replacing the status bar with this one, if you're on GiGi's ROM will make a few things different as this replaces some framework files but they are very minor and practically not noticeable (Some pop-ups will be stock themed). If you're on stock or hwfjunkman's ROM then there should not be a difference at all except for the status bar.

I have also extracted the status bar from GiGi's Rom to be used. Screenshots are located earlier in this thread.

All you need to do is get dianxinos-res.apk and simply replace the current one in system/framework. Remember to change permissions and make a BACKUPPPPPPPP.

Link to this contains a .rar of both status bars in appropriate folders.

None at all, not officially anyway. GiGiTse announced she had been trying to port over the system from SH7218T (2.3) but hasn't updated in a while so it's probably not going so well. Believe me though, it will be announced here if 2.3 will come to our phones.

Ah, I was reading that news too
Should be fairly easy porting it over to the SH7218U, Not so different from the SH7218T except for the slightly faster CPU no?

Yeah that's pretty much it besides the different radio. I don't know too much about porting but it may be hard to get a whole other version to a different phone, though I imagine the SH7218T has similar or the same drivers used in the SH7218U. I could be wrong though but let's just hope we can get 2.3 soon. I'm sure we would benefit from the better battery conservation upgrades and features.

That will most definitely benefit us if they finally manage to port it

Alright here's another status bar update! I replaced the battery icon in Gigi's Status bar and replaced it with the 007SH battery so everything works perfect. Here's a screenshot and download link is below. Tell me what you think people! I have the .png's for the 007SH battery icon in case anyone wants to edit the stock rom with these icons. I am wanting to see if I can add toggles to the notification area so stay tuned.

I'm assuming the battery icon does not show the % ? Does it?
On the sh 01B we get the option of showing the % of battery power left awhile before it reverts back to the icon

    Oh man
I have lot's to read up on Customizing this phone, and rooting it and all

    What's your recommendation ?

A nice launcher that doesn't lag and has gapps?

Oh is the link here in this thread?
How do I go about on installing it?
What if I just wanted those soft buttons?

I've rooted, using Go Launcher Ex,
and I'm running seriously low on Internal memory.. (moved all apps to sd using link2sd)
and recently cleared the dalvik cache using titanium pro..
I have not installed google apps ..

How does one go about on cleaning out junk internal apps >__<
having 25mb and less internal memory is annoying when I'm trying to install an app and it's over 40mb and refuses to install because of the low internal memory :/
The app downloads over wifi straight into internal memory to load first annoyingly :S

    Any help? Thanks~
