I'm considering moving to Chatr from Telus, and I just wondering what kind of data rates people are getting on Chatr. Does it compare to HSPA rates on Roger's, or have they throttled it?
I'm not sure if anyone has run a SpeedTest in Vancouver, as their 100MB data allotment is so small. But, if you have, I'd be very interested in your results.
I'm on Chatr now, and I've played with a few different modems for my device and the highest throughput rate I can get is 1.65Mbps down and 0.74Mbps up.
I know others with my phone/ROM/modem combination can get around 6-9Mbps down in Vancouver with Rogers.
Shouldn't I be able to get comparable data rates on Chatr?
Would anyone who is close to their end of their billing cycle mind running a speed test for me (especially if you live in Vancouver area).
Ok, it just occurred to me that the difference in speed between my friends Roger's 3G (Non 4G) speeds and Chatr's is that Roger's supports HSPA+, which I'm pretty sure Chatr doesn't.
