It will most likely be the Galaxy S as by the time they add come around to adding it, it will be a 2 years old phone, right up MTS`s alley....old discontinued phones...
MTS (Manitoba's Terrible Selection, aka) won't be adding anything buddy. There any be hope when it's pushing a the HTC CDMA hero as its only Android device- the phone is so outdated I can't even begin to explain.
There's 2 things MYS has- unlimited data on a slow, fake 4G network, and good rural coverage. Don't ask beyond that.
I heard this from a tech when I was having problems last weekend. But it sounded like it had fallen though, hopefully its true but I'm not gonna hold my breath.
From our account rep. Looking into adding a version of the Galaxy S(1 or 2) or the Droid Razr in the near future.
Just a rumor. Reliable source. But, apparently MTS has tried this before and couldn't make it happen. But they are looking at it.
Doubt it seriously. MTS would rather have crappy handsets then get a good phone.
Even tho they have a partnership with Rogers they really can't seem to grasp the notion that their customers want a good selection of phones. BBs and the iPhone 4S won't keep people from bailing.

They have so far... MTS keeps increasing the number of subscriptions, quarter after quarter...
Wonder which area those stats are coming from. I can see an outside-Winnipeg subscriber increase where subscribers do not have access to Rogers or Telus handsets and stores. But an educated consumer would not pick MTS to be their carrier, due to the lack of available handsets.

Hello there,
May I add in: I am no super expert or what not on smartphones, but I am an educated consumer, and I DO research my stuff before going into buy something, even be it a stupid locked-in 3yrs contract (which ALL providers have!).....
I do choose MTS to be my carrier...I am no "MTS fanboy" as some mayuse the term, rather I am an MTS subscriber for my cell choices. I dont much care of handset availability...sure it would be awesome to have the latest and greatest phone choices like on other carriers, but alas I have been fine with my choices in the past. It's then what's available and on the market when contract time comes...Im not one of these people who buy out their contracts a year and a half in...even with newer stuff coming in!
The fact is, if I really wanted to as can anyone nowadays, go and buy a device and unlock it and take it over to MTS as example to use on their networks.
MTS and Rogers are basically the same when it comes to network availability in the province...but alas I have heard many sh***y things about Rogers when it comes to joining them..such as having to pay a deposit on your account as well as the standard credit check...And also just their service not being that great.
Just my two cents...
Everyone has and is allowed to make their own choices in decisions..some like MTS, some like Rogers, some like Telus, and so on....

I've heard you say that before. Your mentality is consistent with the corporate structure at MTS; that is "we've turned in profits in past years, so let's just continue, on an AS IS BASIS".
I don't know where to begin in my response. From a business perspective, that strategy is pathetic. Most companies that think like that are either out of the game, or on its way out. There's a new Android device entering the market on a biweekly basis. The fact that MTS has none of these phones may not show today, but it will tomorrow, and I promise you that. What good is unlimited data and good rural coverage if it's being offered on a outdated device or only on a certain phone, such as the iPhone? Think about where technology is headed- smartphone retail payment systems, location based ads, cloud computing, and the list goes on. Are you familiar with these trends, or I should says FACTS OF LIFE.
I am just stating the "facts of life" as they are - MTS has been posting increases in subscriptions in the past few years, and their lineup of phones is minimal at best. Perhaps there are people out there that care about cost first, hardware second?
Obviously I know about these "trends" - hence why I bought an unlocked phone instead of relying on MTS' lineup. The other thing to point out, though, is that MTS is offering the best selling "new" handset to their customers. Would I buy it? No. But others have and will.
I think what people are trying to get across is that MTS could have even greater numbers if they would just start trying to acquire some of the newer phones that keep coming out, that are not a BB or iphone. Not everyone wants a ""business phone" (BB) or be part of the me too populace (iphone). My wife and I are using MTS, while my daughters phone is on Rogers. I will be staying with MTS due only to my work, but I am looking at switching out to Rogers for my wife's phone when her contract is up. Reason being we like the choices better and I like the ability to adjust things on the plans from the net instead of making a trip to a store.
