Sites like Fatwallet and Bigcrumbs have cashback on T-Mobile if you want to save an additional few bucks. To those looking to get it unlocked, the price on Ebay is nearly as much as the phone itself.

I am guessing almost nobody here bought a Sparq. For the few who did and who also wants to get it unlocked on the cheap, search on ebay for people selling codes for the Alcatel OT-606. Supposedly, the codes from some guy offering them for $1.65 work fine.

I made a post at the exact same time as you. I did buy one. Lots of activity on FW and SD. Received it in two days. Works fine. Just waiting for my cash back to clear, and since TMobile gives us free unlocks every 3 months I'll just unlock it for free then (I just unlocked my tenth phone for free with TMobile last week)

Bought one, got the cash back, and decided didn't need it and flipped it on Craigslist for $30. Not too bad.
