I recently got a softbank 740SC from a very good friend of mine who studied in Japan for a while and I have been researching on ways on how to unlock this phone. it's pre-paid but i can't do any of the methods that involve entering my credit card number online due to the fact that i would rather not get my information stolen. again, i'm very picky when it comes to this sort of thing because this is real money we're talking about here... and isn't there any way an unlock code can be generated?

it's the matter that i'm rather tight on money...and the fact i'm living with my parents still. (i'm 18) so i can't really ship things just like that. i was lucky enough to even get the keitai...

No. Real money for a real service is pretty reasonable imo.
You don't unlock keitais with unlock codes- even if you did get one there's no place to enter it. It's not a Nokia or HTC.

You only have three options, as you have found- soft-unlock, hypersim or get your own Z-box. There is no secret method, if that's what you're wondering.

Sorry about that. I suggest getting a cheap Nokia or something to tide you over until you get the funds to get your keitai unlocked.

well if you can't trust a member we recommend then it's pretty much impossible to unlock the phone, keitais can't be unlocked the conventional IMEI way so you are out of luck if you ditch the only hope we are giving you, i know Zero as i work as his webmaster and he is very trustworthy and reliable.

we all are tight on money, you gotta be thankful you don't have kids or pay rent or bills , how about a hypersim?? they are cheap and you don't have to ship the phone anywhere.
We lose as much as we gain through life, and that includes who we used to be.
