Red Pocket Smart phone data config

Just like H2O, Red Pocket Mobile now sms a link to your handset allowing for easy smart phone data configuration.

First make sure you have WiFi connectivity, then follow these steps....

    1. Activate sim
    2. Refill plan onto sim
    3. SMS "iphone" or "android" to Red pocket IVR number
    4. You will then receive a text message containing a link
    5. Click the link and follow the steps

I did this for a friend in literally less than a minute and it worked beautifully. He now pays $60 per month for unlimited T&T with 2GB of data. Curious to see if the data rolls over next month.........

Err.. what do you mean by the "Red Pocket IVR" number, and where can I find it?

OK, I figured out it was "Interactive Voice Response", but could not find the "number".

Surf to goredpocket.com/iphone in Safari appears to be an alternative way

Click the link and follow instructions

I have a Windows Phone 7 smartphone (Samsung Focus S). How would I configure data for that device since it's neither an iPhone nor Android phone?

Have to get your phone to mfg or something like that mode Google it. Then you can your data working by changing the apn on it. Just changing it to att.mvno should get it to work, AS for mms will probably never work I tried to get it to work on a focus with h20...fail! Maybe see if you can upgrade your focus to mango or u may have to sell it and get a phone that does work with everything if mms is a big deal to you. Here's a pic with rp data settings

I would also be interested in seeing a WP configuration in which everything works. MMS isn't a huge deal but once in a while, I'll get an SMS that prompts me to "download content now" or something like that, which means it's sent as an MMS.

The TMo $30/5GB plan is a better fit for me, but the extra money for RP would be worthwhile for the better AT&T coverage.

The Focus S is already Mango, though I'm not sure if it offers different APN options than any other Mango phone (although WP7 is "standardized," the S does have extra menu options other phones don't have).
    Windows Phone.

Well I thought I read that mango would have more apn options, as well as offer custom ringtones able to be used without using cheveron? The reason is those Nokia lumia look really nice also heard some are going for 399 brand new! So tempting!

My Focus running Mango shows the following in the APN menu:

    APN
    User name
    Password
    Proxy server/URL
    Proxy port

It would be great if someone with a "second gen" Windows Phone would post their APN options.
