Softbank 740sc - buying from seller in japan or hong kong is better?

my friend and i are looking to buy software unlocked softbank 740, and we noticed that there are two sellers who were selling it for cheaper: one seller's from japan, the other's from hong kong. the seller in japan doesn't have boxes for the phones (and claims the phones are brand new), whereas the seller from hong kong does have the box for the phones.

my friend said she'd prefer to get it from the seller who's located in japan becauses she said that there's too many fake things in hong kong (but i personally don't think they can fake these phones...)

i just wanted to ask the keitai experts first which would be the smarter choice before getting it from ebay. (or if there are any other options where we could purchase the phones brand new/mint condition that you would be able to direct us to!)

if you want the box and the price isnt much then get the one from hk vs the japanese seller, it all comes from the same source basically.

A lot of re-sellers buy mass quantities from Japan because they have contacts there that can hook them up. So it's really the same thing.

Get the HK one, a brand new phone should come with a box.

Besides, as the above posters said, they're all unlocked at the same place anyhow.
