Shortly after I updated my phone when gingerbread was released.
Any time I go from screen to screen or from app to home screen or really any different screen than what I'm on at the time I keep getting the loading screen sometimes its quick others it feels like an eternity. Also sometimes it'll diplay the white htc screen o see during boot-up . I've reset, pulled the battery and nothing seems to quit this thing from constantly loading.
Does anyone know if there's was some issue with this or is this normal for this. Or if there's some known issue with this?
I think it's pretty normal for the loading screen to come up sadly. I have the same issue fairly often. If I let my kid play a game on my phone, it usually has to restart Sense when he gets done...there's some more info about this here:
Sense was not ported well to Gingerbread. A couple of things you can do. One is to simply switch to a different launcher, and not use sense. I have done this on mine, and my phone is now much snappier to use.
The other thing you can do is root the phone and load a custom rom onto it. Then there is a fix for launcher memory use, that is supposed to stop the constant reloads of sense.
i called tech support and since i had 384mb internal memory that i was using too much. that i need to stop thinking of my phone as a phone but a handheld computer and that it needs a ten minute nap each day so i need to turn it off for ten minutes a day and at least once a week to pull the battery out . he also suggested i dl 3 apps - lookout, app2sd (which i use) and 1tap cleaner . cuz they're great apps he said ( i wonder if hes an adman man for the guy who created them) we also did a factory reset and he said this may or may not have fixed it if it doesnt then i need to go into a store and have them reflash gingerbread from the store if that doesnt fix it then he said that since its still under warranty that they could do an advanced replacement so i'm guess i'll get the same phone with the same issue. so idk really where that'll leave me but i know i feel completly customerified ( i do tech support for another company but anyways ) we'll see
