So since I signed a contract last year with an HSPA phone, and later found out that hspa does not work in manitoba i've been stuck with a cdma blackberry curve. I know that rumours were that hspa would go live in winnipeg when it went live in saskatchewan (but that has come and gone). I did a little digging, and the towers that bell/virgin roams on are owned by Telus. I could see that Bell is in no rush to sign a network sharing agreement, but the question is will they ever?
I've exhausted ways of making complaints to find out anything about it
Hey there. This is Talli and I work here at Virgin Mobile. We don't current have HSPA coverage in Manitoba, but we are working like crazy, to bring HSPA to you guys. You've been so patient and we REALLY appreciate that. Hang in there...it shouldn't be too much longer!
Shouldn't be too much longer you say? I've heard that for almost a year. I'm irritated that you imply that I will just continue waiting while Virgin Mobile (or parent company Bell) twiddles their thumbs. I'm looking for definitive dates when HSPA will be available.
I asked the girl working at the Polo Park booth last summer when Virgin would be selling HSPA devices in Winnipeg and she told me it's coming but didn't say when. That was months ago and I know they have been saying the same thing for a long time now. If you're still waiting I would have given up a long time ago.
Of course, they've also been working like crazy to bring Bell-locked iPhone owners an unlock solution... since 2009.
Sorry Talli, as nice as it is having you answer some of our questions here, the combined facts and statements made for Manitoba HSPA and the above don't exactly put Bell/VMC in a good light.
Have some set dates and make them public, or say it'll take a while longer, or that it just won't happen. As it stands there's a word for what your company is doing: teasing.
